“Gray, can we just forget?”
“Forget what?” I asked her as I watched her hesitate.
“That you hate me for dating Ash.” Her eyes were wide as she looked at me, vulnerable. “I made the wrong choice, I know.”
“You think I hate you for that?” I shrugged out of her hold. “I love my cousin.”
“You hate that I hurt him.”
“Of course.”
“I hurt you too,” Quinn said as she stepped closer. “I was confused.”
“You were confused? So, what, you fell on the wrong dick?”
“Ugh!” Quinn threw her hands in the air and turned away from me. “I’m done, I’ve said sorry. I’m hurting too, you know.”
“Good.”
“Good? Seriously? Get the fuck out of my house.” She stormed toward the stairs, thinking I would go like she ordered.
She thought wrong.
I caught her on the stairs and effortlessly lifted her as I climbed the stairs and strode toward her bedroom. Slamming the door closed behind me, I dropped her on the bed as I ripped my T-shirt off over my head.
“What are you doing?”
“What the fuck does it look like?” I unbuckled my belt and quickly pushed my jeans down my legs as I kicked my boots off. “You drive me crazy. All I can think about is fucking you. Ever since the first time, knowing what you feel like wrapped around my dick, I’m going crazy.”
Picking her leg up, I unsnapped her shoe, tossing it behind me without a care. Swiftly, I did the other one.
“And your suggestion is what?” Quinn got off the bed, back to her normal height without the shoes. She looked up at me. “Fuck it out of your system?”
Bending slightly, I grabbed the hem of her dress and pulled it roughly over her head as she lifted her arms, helping me undress her.
“No, but I’m going to fuckyouout of my system.” I kissed her to shut her up before I pushed her back onto her bed. “Do you have any objections?”
Quinn lay on her back as she ran her eyes over my naked body before she propped herself up on her elbows with a grin. “I say give it your best shot.”
We’d been insatiable. I hadn’t been able to get enough of her, and she’d been as demanding as I was. When the morning broke through the blinds in her room, we’d been lying side by side, exhausted.
Groaning, I sat up and swung my legs over the side of the bed.
“Where you going?”
“Practice starts in an hour,” I told her as I looked for my jeans.
“You haven’t slept.”
Looking at her as she lay in the bed with her hair spread around her and her sheet barely covering her, I smirked. “Whose fault is that?”
When I was dressed, I turned back to look at her. She was still watching me, and I really just wanted to climb back into bed and sleep beside her. But I had practice, and in the cold light of day, I was wondering what the consequences of my actions would be.
“I gotta go,” I said as I headed to the door.
“Gray?”
I turned back.
