Nora: I’m lying naked on my bed with my fingers teasing my clit. It’s not enough though.
I squeezed my cock hard and groaned at the image her words conjured. Instead of texting her back, I called her. She answered with a moan, and her breathing was choppy.
“Fuck. You’re close already, Baby.”
“I know. I miss you between my thighs already. I miss your weight on top of me.”
I groaned and stroked harder on my cock, my pace speeding up to match her breathing. “I wish I was across the hall with you right now, too. Tomorrow, afternoon and night, you won’t walk right by the time I’m done with you.”
“Promise?” she asked with a sigh.
“I don’t say things I don’t mean, baby. Tomorrow, you will scream my name.”
She cried out softly as she came. It was muffled, and I knew she must be crying out into a pillow. I rolled to the side and grabbed a shirt off my floor and let go. Thick streams of cum shot out and caked onto the fabric as I emptied my balls into the cloth.
“I can’t wait until tomorrow,” she whispered again with a sigh.
“Me neither. Get some sleep, Nora. You’re going to need it.”

I went downstairs at eight the next morning. Evelyn was in the kitchen with coffee already brewing. When I looked at her face, I knew she had been crying.
“Evelyn?”
“Dean.” She gave me a genuine smile, even if it was forced. “What are you doing up this early?”
“Habit.” I shrugged, brushing it off. “Why have you been crying?”
She tried to dismiss it and wave it off. “My baby girl is getting married today. They are happy tears, I promise.”
It was then I understood. “Dad didn’t come home last night, did he?”
Her lip shook before she bit it, and tears filled her eyes again. “It’s your wedding day, Dean. Don’t worry about me or your father. We will work this out.”
Anger churned in my gut. This was everything I had been afraid of and why I had stayed away so long. I walked over to Evelyn and wrapped her in a hug. “I’m so sorry my loving your daughter did this.”
“Hush.” She squeezed my waist and pulled back from my embrace. “You’ll finally officially be my son, Dean. I love you and your brother very much—as much as I love my daughter. I couldn’t have picked a better man for my Nora.”
Evelyn Foster was a class act. She humbled me, and how my dad could be so pigheaded to not see what was right in front of him pissed me off.
“Can I borrow your car?” I asked quietly.
“Yeah. Nora and I will take hers when we go to her hair appointment.”
“Thank you, Mom.” I kissed her cheek and gave her another hug when tears filled her eyes again. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Nora was just like her mom in so many ways. No wonder my dad and I fell for the two of them. Only a strong woman with a heart of gold who would call us on our shit and put up with our stubborn pride would do.
I was a lot like him, and a part of me hated that fact. We had taken a few steps forward the night I finally came home, and last night pushed us right back to where we started. No more.
I grabbed Evelyn’s keys and climbed into her car, adjusting the seat that was too damn close to the wheel for me. After I backed out of the car, I headed to one of the two places I knew my dad would be. When I pulled up to his office, I didn’t see his car there, but I wanted to make sure he wasn’t inside before I headed to my next stop.
“Hey, Sandy,”
“Dean! I heard you were back in town. Welcome home, it’s been so long.”
“Thank you. Hey, has Dad been here this morning?”
“Yes. He left a while ago though.” Her brows furrowed. “I think he slept on his office couch last night, but I can’t say for sure. He didn’t look good this morning.”
