“Good girl,” Archer complimented. “Now, kid, don’t bite me. I know you’re feral and shit, but I need to look at that arm.”

I couldn’t help it. I smiled. I wasn’t expecting him to compare me to a feral beast. But I guess in some respects I was.

Archer grinned, shooting a look toward Sienna. “At least he has a sense of humor hidden underneath all that hostility.”

He started feeling my arm, and I cried out when he touched that sensitive spot that was covered with deep purple bruises.

“Definitely broken. You’re going to need to go to a hospital, kid. If it’s a clean break, it will be easy to repair. If not, you may be looking at surgery.”

I gripped my arm and pulled it away from him. “No hospitals. No doctors.”

He shrugged. “There isn’t much I can do for you here.”

“Just put some bandages on it, I’ll baby it or something.”

He pulled out some gauze and started rolling it up my arm. He then grabbed a sling and placed my elbow in it, tightening it so my arm was tucked against my body.

“That’s the best I can do, kid.”

“My name is Dillon.”

Archer’s eyes softened just a tad. “That’s the best I can do,Dillon.”

“So, where are your parents?”

I looked around the room nervously, noticing Zodiac talking to Tess at the bar, and shrugged.

“At home,” I replied indifferently.

“Well, once we are done here, I’ll take you home. Maybe I can talk them into taking you to the hospital.”

Little did he know, as soon as he was done, I’d be skipping out of this place. There was no way in hell I was going to stick around to find out what these bikers had in store for me.

I already felt the wrath of one club.

I wasn’t about to feel the wrath of another.

Chapter Twelve

My head shot up when a boisterous male voice yelled, “CHURCH!” It was Zodiac, and it amazed me how every man in the strip club was instantly on their feet. A young kid who looked about my age was standing nearby, wearing a leather jacket that said “prospect” on the back. Zodiac pointed at him and ordered, “Virg, stay here with the women and watch the front door.”

“Got it, Prez,” Virg said, instantly settling near the door.

Zodiac then turned his attention on me.

“Archer, take a cage and give the kid a ride home. Then meet us at the clubhouse.”

“Sure thing, Prez,” Archer exclaimed. “Come on, kid, let’s get you home.”

“I told ya’ll I don’t need a ride,” I growled, my glare slicing through Zodiac.

“Well, I don’t care what you want, Dillon. Archer’s gonna drive you to where you’re staying. With the Artillery hanging around, you need to be escorted home. In fact, for a while, we need to be more cautious. Cap, you go with them,” Zodiac ordered.

I let out a sigh, annoyed that he was forcing me to leave. It was supposed to rain tonight, and I wasn’t looking forward to sleeping outside, especially with me being as banged up as I was.

The man with the faux hawk nodded. I guess he was the man called Cap.

“Cap, call the rest of the members and tell them to meet us at the clubhouse,” Zodiac said, spinning around to give Cap a last-minute instruction.
