“Are you sure?” one of them questioned. His eyes trained on the barrel of a gun pointed in his face.
“Yeah, it seems like we wore out our welcome,” AK griped, carefully getting on his feet, glaring at Zodiac as he pressed a hand over his shoulder to stop the blood from coming out. “You’re going to regret doing that, Zodiac. I’m going to take down this club and every fucking member in it.”
“Get the fuck out of my club, AK, and take your damn goons with you. If I ever see you or any other Artillery member on or around any of our properties again; I’ll fucking end you all right where you began.”
AK shook his head. “You’re making a big mistake, Zodiac. Beretta already has shit in motion for your pathetic excuse for an MC, and when the train comes through, it’s going to take out you and every damn member in this fucking little club of yours, so get ready for the crosshairs, Zodiac, cause the Hell’s Artillery is coming for you. And when we’re done, there won’t be anything left of the Celestial Sons.” AK shot a look at the stripper he was fucking when we got here. “Ya sure you don’t want to come with me, sweetheart? I’ll give you another ride just for fun.” Like the vulgar asshole he was, he grabbed his crotch, lifting his eyebrows in suggestion.
“Bugger off,” she snapped. She then looked over at Tobias with pleading eyes. Did she want him to step in? Tobias threw up his hands, rolling his eyes as he pushed past her.
“Suit yourself, sweetheart. I’ll be around when these assholes kick you to the curb and you have nowhere else to go,” he replied, grinning as he blew her a kiss.
Zodiac’s shoulders stiffened as he barked out some orders to his men. “Bull, Archer, escort these assholes out. It’s time for them to get the fuck out of here.”
Archer immediately started pushing them towards the door.
“Oh, AK, before you go get some insane idea about talking to the cops about that little bullet wound in your shoulder. I want you to remember that I have cameras everywhere in here,” Zodiac informed him, pointing up to one directly above his head. “Not only do I have you on camera paying one of my girls for sex, I also have you pulling out your gun on one of my men. Which means that little bullet wound in your shoulder was nothing more than self-defense.”
AK’s jaw tensed, clenching his teeth together in frustration. “That’s okay, Zodiac. I’m sure we can find something else on your club to have a little fun with.” AK shot Scorpio another menacing look. “I’ll be seeing ya real soon, Scor-pi-ho. Better watch your fucking back.”
AK limped out of the building followed by the rest of the Artillery that came with him. Zodiac still had the gun in his hand, so I quickly adverted my eyes, focusing on Sienna, who was shivering with fear under the table.
“They’re gone, Sienna. You can come out now.”
I stretched out my hand, crying out as my body bent awkwardly to help her. Sienna’s slender palm fit so easily in mine as I drug her out from under the table. It was like her tiny little hands were made to fit in mine. Two seconds later, she was in my arms, crying into my shoulder.
I wasn’t sure where to place my hands. Every inch of her was bare, and it felt wrong to touch her bare skin when we just met, so I let her hug me, keeping my hands at my sides.
“I was so scared. Stuff like that never happens around here. He shot someone, Dillon. Zodiac actually shot someone.”
“Yeah, I told you all bikers were the same.”
More yelling ensued as the girl who broke all the rules was escorted from the building. She was pleading for them to let her stay, but Scorpio and Zodiac told her she wasn’t allowed back in the club. I didn’t blame them. It was her fault that things got as bad as they did. Once she was gone, both Scorpio and Zodiac made their way over to me.
“Hey, kid, how you holding up?”
Brows dropping in an angry glare, I ignored him, detached Sienna from my side, and angrily plopped into one of the chairs nearby. “Just patch me up and let me get the fuck out of here, okay?”
Zodiac frowned. “Hey now. Why are you coming at me so hostile all of a sudden?”
“It doesn’t fucking matter. Just don’t say shit you don’t actually mean,” I snapped back, making everyone’s eyes widen even more.
Sienna looked at me in confusion, then over at the men hovering around me.
“Like what?” Zodiac questioned.
“Next time you decide to tell someone not all biker clubs are the same, don’t pull a gun on someone and shoot them in the shoulder.”
Zodiac’s half smiled faltered, falling into a frown.
“Look, kid, I’m sorry. That kind of shit doesn’t normally happen around here.”
“Yeah, right.” I shot a glance at Archer, and barked out, “Well, big guy, you gonna patch me up or not?”
I was done talking to Zodiac. The guy was a major hypocrite. And here I thought they were different. They weren’t. They were just like every other biker club out there. In fact, they were worse. Pretending to care about people when they didn’t give a fuck.
Archer bent down next to me, fiddling with the bag Sienna had already opened.
“I’m pretty sure his arm is broken, Archer. I put some alcohol on his arm to clear up that infection that’s starting,” Sienna informed him.
