“We were allies for thousands of years, before they closed themselves off. There used to be partial Fairy Dragons. Their Draconian Sorcerers have Fae blood too. In fact, there are no doubt those with Fae blood in their realm.”

“As for how I know that Kingsley isn’t the oldest, it’s because the ruling Dragon is always a black dragon with purple accents. That’s questionable in our histories too. They might have a part of them that could shimmer purple in the right light but be all black. Girls born to the royal family are purple.”

I asked, “Have you told them we found their daughter?” Aiden snorted, “Absolutely not. I’ve spoken to Kingsley about the situation. I’m aware she does not remember her life there. I won’t endanger her. I don't know if they receive the messages I send.”

“While I want contact; I will not put Kingsley’s life in danger. To have a Draconic Sorcerer use the type of magic to remove her memories means they must have believed Kingsley was in danger. Otherwise, they never would’ve let her get out of their realm.”

“I’m confident the Dragons would’ve come to us, knowing the pervious family was out of power, to help locate a missing Princess. The fact they have not gives me great pause. That means the Royal family was party to this and agreed.”

I asked, “Have you told Hastein that?” Uncle Aiden laughed, “One does not need to tell your cousin such things. He will be King himself one day. Kingsley’s memories so far of are of a happy family. He may not like what her family did, but he’s certain there is a danger surrounding his mate for her family to not seek her out.” I sat back and studied him.

I surmised, “You don’t think they want anyone to know she’s not in their realm. Wouldn’t they have figured it out by now?” Uncle Aiden smiled, “No Dragon would believe that the Royal Family would send a Dragon to the human realm, let alone one of theirs.”

“It’s the hardest place for them to be. A Dragon has to have great control to keep out of the skies. I am impressed by Kingsley and her Dragon. There have been no human reports of a Dragonbeing spotted that could be substantiated. There are those that claim to have pictures of Dragons, but not a purple one. Other than when Kingsley’s been in the place Melanie had done for her, she didn’t take to the skies.”

“Dragons love to fly, obviously. It’s in their nature. Kingsley went against it, and her Dragon agreed with her. Which tells me her Dragon may not remember, but on an instinctual level knows they’d be in danger if they were spotted.”

“Not from the humans since her Dragon could easily handle them. Other Supernatural’s wouldn’t and likely could not hurt a Dragon. I believe the Supernatural Council would try to capture Kingsley, but then so does your mate.”

I winced, “You’re right.” Aiden smiled, “Yes, Melanie already warned your Uncle Bjourn about that. He has people in the background on all Supernatural Council members. I dare say you’ll hear of a council death should one consider going to Missouri.”

“Though Kingsley is not on their radar or Melanie would know. I do believe your uncle would kill them before they could even become interested in her. I would not blame him as I have my own members on the Supernatural Council listening for her name.” He would.

I also knew that Uncle Bjourn would do anything to protect his family. I asked, “Were the Hackura ever friends with the Dragons?” Uncle Aiden smiled, “They used to protect all the realms. I’m sure your grandfather and your uncle are annoyed that their ancestors were duped. The Dragon’s culture was quite a bit like the Hackura.”

I asked, “Duped how?” Uncle Aiden smiled, “I actually think a partial Fairy played a part in this, with the Draconian Sorcerers. Somehow, they made the texts say that the Dragon realm was destroyed. Faerie is the only one with records on their realm andthat they closed themselves away. Other than their own realm most likely.”

I asked, “Aren’t you pissed at them?” Uncle Aiden questioned, “Why?” I replied, “You say you can’t be certain they got their communications, but I think they had to. Maybe their communications are monitored or something, but logically they got them.”

“They sent Kingsley out to the Human realm. I know there used to be a portal directly leading into Faerie. They could’ve sent her to you. We would’ve helped Kingsley and she never would’ve been alone. It’s wrong. They should’ve sent her through here. You would’ve helped her.”

Uncle Aiden agreed, “There is a portal on their side to our realm, the only one we ever allowed actually. I have never found where it is because the texts are vague. I know even if I found it, I cannot get through. I don’t know why they did what they did.”

“As a father, I’ll say I would not do it. As a brother, my sister fled this realm. I acknowledge that is clearly not the case for Kingsley. Her family agreed to this, and it’s quite clear in my opinion. The worry and agony over hoping my sister was safe was a daily and hourly concern. They made a mistake and there are no if’s, and’s or but’s about it.”

I sat back but nodded. I changed the subject, “Mom knows what Kingsley is too. Doesn’t she?” Uncle Aiden chuckled, “I’m sure she strongly suspects. A significant amount of the books on Dragons were on the floor your mother frequented. There are pink Dragons too, they are the Duchesses.”

“I’m sure your mother found that fascinating. Haley has not asked me to confirm or deny her suspicions about Kingsley. You know how your mother is about people sharing their truth and their stories in their own time.”

I agreed, “I am aware of that. So, from what I hear, you know what everyone is when you meet them.” Uncle Aiden nodded,“Yes, I do.” I snorted, “Why don’t we know that?” Uncle Aiden answered, “You do now, but your mother and her stealthy side wanted to keep some things we can do under wraps.”

I sat back and thought about it from that standpoint. I reasoned, “Like we pointlessly did from the Supernatural Council with me and my siblings.” Aiden replied, “It was hardly pointless. Without someone betraying the packs, it would’ve been a good idea. It was exactly like that though.” I liked that.

I advised, “You should tell Lux what his other half is then, he’s Alpha Theo’s son.” Uncle Aiden laughed, “I’ve met him many times, as you know. Young Lux doesn’t want to know. I’ve told him any time he changes his mind I’ll tell him. I would like an in with the people he hails from, but I don’t know his birth mother’s name. Nor will I use him to be an in, unless that is his wish.”

Of course that made sense given Lux was mad at his mom. I sighed, “He’s upset with his mother, so he doesn’t want to know.” Uncle Aiden agreed, “More than likely. Lux did seem quite upset with her. As I would suspect I know more about that given I know what he is; I’d know why. His anger is justified.”

I knew he wouldn’t tell me, so I didn’t bother asking. It was Lux’s business anyway. I asked, “How long has he known that you know?” Uncle Aiden said, “I met him right after his dad took custody. Lux was quite angry and very focused on some update from a private investigator.”

“I was never told what that was about. I gave Lux his privacy to handle his business, but I saw him several times. He was always agitated about something do with a private investigator and harshly denying anything to do with the woman who gave birth to him.”

“I know he considers Luna Anne his mom, and I can’t say I blame him. Recently when all that business with Ezra went down, I saw him again, but he was emotional as it was. I’m surehe’ll think it over and ask eventually. That’s his timing though. The offer always stands.”

Uncle Aiden was probably right. Those other moments, Lux was a young Alpha blood dealing with disappointment and most recently their family was in great distress. Uncle Aiden and I left his office and overlooked the balcony into the main room.

I frowned when I didn’t see Melanie. Oden linked, “WE ARE AN UNCLE!” My mate linked me seconds later. I WAS A WHAT? I checked my bond with Cassie and noted my sister was in shock. I shouted, “Shit! Cassie gave birth!”

Uncle Aiden grinned asking, “Here?” I nodded and popped to Melanie. How had I not felt Cassie in labor? Oden told me, “Rain said it all happened to fast.” I linked Cassie, “I’m happy you gave birth like a Fairy since I know that’s what you wanted. I honestly thought given your tendencies you’d give birth like a Hackura. I am glad it was not painful for you though, but next time you LINK me.”
