Melanie answered, “In the lab building here… I have them in duffle bags.” Dylan threw his popcorn, “SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! I ACTUALLY GET ONE? I don’t have to donate blood or anything? You just have one for me?” Melanie nodded and I felt her confusion.

Dylan warned, “Ignore the alarm LSGAP for the break in at the lab. It’s me! I’m only retrieving something that’s mine. You all heard MelAshley say there’s a watch for little old me and none of you will break in to get it. So, it’s me. LSGAP, MMSGAP, my Special Fun Sized Fairy Ninja Goddess, and the new cast members with them! Suck it suckers!” He ran off.

I linked the Warriors, “Someone let Dylan Frost into the lab before he breaks a window.” Several people snickered but they agreed. EJ linked, “Good call. Dylan is apparently lamentinghow everyone is now fun by not letting him break in.” Yeah, I knew he would do so even knowing he didn’t have to.

Jason sighed, “At least tell us who taught you how to drive like that.” Melanie asked, “What is the obsession with who taught me how to drive? Why does that matter?” A growl was building in my chest because now I knew it was a guy. A Supernatural guy. I could feel it.

Oden was growling in my head too. Gage and Phil groaned. Tristan asked, “Why won’t you just tell us?” Melanie frowned, “He’s a private person and…” I snarled. Melanie whirled around feeling shocked. My mate asked, “Why are you angry? Gosh, you’re like really angry… why?”

Sam gently said, “Ladybug.” I growled cutting off whatever else followed that, “WHO IS HE?” Melanie frowned, “I mean he’s….” Micah cleared his throat and Melanie stopped talking. I closed my eyes and counted to ten.

I opened them and said, “Yes, Micah.” My brother in law replied cautiously, “Not to interrupt what promises to be a fun conversation that Dylan Frost would be oh so upset he missed, but I found someone you asked me to.” I growled, “Yuri.”

Melanie’s anger and self-loathing mingled within me. I linked her, “Your anger is fine, but you have nothing to feel self-loathing over. Only Yuri does. You did nothing wrong, and he’s about to pay.” I looked at Micah asking, “Where the hell is he?”

Micah answered, “A contact of Uncle Logan’s is holding him for us. It seems that Yuri ran all the way to the Demon realm hoping he’d be forgotten about.” Uncle Logan scoffed, “As if our reach doesn’t go there. Bjourn is friends with Iblis and I’m their contact. My oldest is half Demon. That’s insanely dumb.”

Melanie scoffed, “Yuri’s not really smart…. in any way, shape or form. He’d have done better to hide in this realm with an alias… just go to like a bigger city… people go to small cities…but that’s a mistake because close knit towns obviously spot an outsider… so fast.” Oden purred, “Mate is a genius.” I knew that.

I said to Micah, “Good. That means we can go get him.” I told Melanie, “We will discuss your driving lessons later.” Melanie frowned, “I really don't see why it matters who taught me how to drive and hack.” I growled “It’s the same person?”

Melanie answered, “Yes… he’s… well he doesn’t really like a lot of people and…” Everly laughed. Addison ordered, “Mel, stop talking.” Gage pleaded, “Seriously, please stop talking.” Melanie frowned, “But...” I growled, “But he likes you.”

Melanie tilted her head, “I mean… he finds me interesting. I don’t know if that’s the same really. I don’t think it is… and…” I snarled, “It is.” Melanie disagreed, “Not exactly but…” Elise jumped in, “Ladybug, just stop digging the hole. Put the shovel down and step away.” Melanie frowned and clearly was going to argue.

I couldn’t take it, so I slammed my lips onto my mate’s mouth. I pulled back and sent my love and how possessive I was in the bond to her. I turned and looked at my brothers declaring, “Let’s go Warlock hunting.” EJ smirked and everyone nodded.

Micah opened a portal, and I went through it. Yuri was going to take quite the beating for my foul mood today. Then I’d find out who spent copious amounts of time with my mate teaching her to drive like a street racer and hack really well.

I knew that took time. Hell, it took a lot of damn time. I was going to get that unnamed fucker at some point. Right now, I was going to get Yuri and pay Trevor another visit. He was past due for my fists of fury, and I was in a damn mood.

About That

Melanie was worried Xander would feel her pain. Because I knew I definitely felt the aches in my body from the crash. Freyasnorted, “Mate does in fact feel our pain.” I winced replying, “Tell Oden he can’t pop to us right now.”

Freya assured me, “He already knows that.” I asked, “How upset are Xander and Oden? They are both mad… aren’t they?” Freya snorted, “You know the answer to that already. You’re a genius and we have a bond. Mate does not like our pain.”

Ok, so I was hoping he was only mildly annoyed. I rolled down the window and fired my gun. I was aiming for the drivers and the tires. Hendrick was not happy about my plan. Well, it worked. Why did everyone always doubt my plans?

Freya said, “I don’t think they are. I think it’s about the plan itself.” I reasoned, “I never say the plans are brilliant… or anything. This was a plan made in the field on the fly… plus… it’s always an option I do this… in my personal plans. I didn’t have time to carefully plot everything out. Everyone knows that.” Paige sent me a text that distracted me from the conversation.

Paige:I put a holoport on a building that Val shimmered me to that was based on the possible locations the computer gave me from your last mission projection here. It’s on top of the budling, but since you’re with K that shouldn’t be a problem.

It wouldn’t be, even if I wasn’t with Kingsley. Thank god Val shimmered Paige closer to where Kingsley and I were heading. Mason and Hendrick protested my order to leave, but they left. I was going to have to get inside Kingsley’s car.

Obviously getting in through the door wasn’t going to work. I cringed realizing the only way for this to happen. It was going to hurt, but it wasn’t like we could stop and switch cars. Freya snorted, “I’ll heal you.” I knew that and appreciated it. The bruises tended to sting for a bit after I did things like this.

I flipped the emergency brake and spun around to face forward. I found myself grateful again to Charles for teachingme how to drive. My friends gave me crap for spending so much time with a Vampire, but I didn’t see the issue.

Charles was a Vampire, so what? I explained to them multiple times the fact Charles agreeing to teach me anything was a big deal. Vampires didn’t tend to teach things they’d learned to people who weren’t their made children. Plus, he was nice.

Everyone else was weird about it, but that was their problem. Freya said, “Your memories tell me him your feelings changed about him when he came to you while you were at your lowest.” That was true. Paige had even called him to come and he did. That meant that we were truly friends, which was a big deal for Charles.

I actually hoped Charles would come around soon, because I missed our in person chats. We communicated over email because he was not a texting person. Charles had seen a bunch of things in history firsthand. I found it fascinating to talk to him about them.

Charles basically held a history class for me the second time he came in town after we’d met. It was something that was… somewhat normal for me. I think he liked it too. Charles was a Duke when he was alive. His full name was Duke Charles Lennox, the first Duke of Richmond. He was pretty cool. My friends teased me about him. I had no idea what their deal was.

I shoved that aside and focused. I needed to get into Kingsley’s car. I clicked the buttons on my watch and pulled out the small explosives. Too bad it had to go… it was a nice car. Valentina would replace this one though.
