My niece, Alania, is now going to be the next Queen. For some reason, my father thinks that is her destiny. I’m trying to find out why. I plan to stay close with her. You can’t find things out if you aren’t close with people.

I think I would make a great Queen. My brother and his wife are going to rule though. He will be King if we take over before Alania is ready to be Queen. It doesn’t make sense that it would be him instead of me.

Alania seems like a fine girl. Her brother though is a strange man. I refuse to claim that one as family. Strange is a kind word for Fabian. I think he is ill. I’ve seen him watching my young sister. I think I’ll need to get her away from him.

I truly don’t like how Fabian looks at her. I told my brother and he laughed at me saying my imagination was running away with me. I know it’s not. His son is twisted. Fabian has always been odd. To the point, many don’t claim him as family in ours.

I guess we will see how this goes. The Soul Eater’s price has been paid. Soon they will return with it, and our plotting truly begins. It must be perfect. We have to have everything just so. I hope to spend more time with my grandpa before he sacrifices himself for all of Faerie.

I can’t believe he’s doing this when my sister is so young. She needs him. We are selfish creatures, but my grandfather is being selfless. I don’t like it. My father died and went to the Beyond. It’s why grandpa is so adamant that the O’Toole’s must go. They killed my father, and it was finally enough for him. I guess that’s all for now.

Aeidelyn Holloran

I was about to read more when Xander linked me that Cayden wanted to talk. I really wanted to read more about this. Aeidelyn and her sister were on my list as suspects for who Alania confided in. This was definitely making me think Aeidelyn was her confidant.

Was Aeidelyn’s sister the one with an O’Toole mate? Aeidelyn grew up with her dad and would despise the O’Toole’s for making him feel like he had to give up his life to get them out of power; however, her sister… well…. she didn’t grow up with him. Aeidelyn clearly loved her sister too… I needed to look more into this.

Sierra said, “Cayden is anxious, Mel. We need to get going.” Abigail offered, “I can keep things going here.” I pointed, “If you’d look through those books… and mark anything that wouldhelp with information on Arion appearing… that would be great.” Abigail saluted me, “I’m on it! This is exciting.”

I admitted, “It’s actually really helpful… I’m on several things… but I do really want more information for him. Arion is… just practicing things blind… information is good.” Abigail agreed, “It’s a really good thing you did for them. I’ll keep looking.”

I nodded then made a marker on a sticky note and grabbed my computer. I updated my board putting Aeidelyn and her sister as number one and two for my suspect list. I reached for the book again, but Sierra snatched and closed it while Abigail snickered.

Sierra chided, “You can research more later. Let’s go.” I frowned at her insisting, “This is important!” Sierra reasoned, “It will wait until later. Cayden probably has something important too.” I grumbled, “If people would just leave me alone…. to research things… I could figure this out.”

Sierra snorted, “Yes, how dare we make you eat and sleep. It’s really rude of us. Abigail is continuing one line of your chaos in your absence.” I teased her, “At least you can admit it’s rude of you… to do all those things.” Sierra rolled her eyes while Abigail moved into cackling laughter while we left the room.

Cayden immediately questioned me about the Hunters. I winced knowing he’d found out about the Knakonechny’s. I thought I had more time with that. I actually felt bad… because Anastasia Knakonechny was in the Resistance.

Ok technically… I had all her siblings working for me… but mostly her. If the Hunter’s, or the Ring, ever found out their Princess had joined us that would be bad. I needed to send her a coded email…. because I was certain… she was one of Xander’s brother’s mates.

Now that I knew how that connection felt… I knew she was one of theirs. I also knew that she would want to wait to meet hermate… if she had to. Even though… she truly did want her mate. Anastasia was literally on the inside.

As inside as you could get, and she felt it was her duty to keep everyone safe. I needed to check on my friend. I hadn’t talked to her since I was outed as Melanie McAlister. I knew she was ok, but I should still check on her.

I should also let her know her mate was a Werewolf, Fairy, Hackura hybrid. Anastasia and I had actually looked into the Hunter’s history. We found some serious revelations that would shake Hunters to their core.

We didn’t used to have any animosity between Hunters and Werewolves. Their origins were a story for another day though. Cayden wanted names. I couldn’t give Anastasia away without her permission. She could be in a lot of trouble if anyone found out… and her oldest brother, Dimitri… would be furious. He worked with me… and we wanted him instated to his rightful place as King… and return them to their purpose… there was a whole pla about it. The n of the pla was a work in progress.

Elise linked me, “EJ’s link is blocked. You tell that jerk to get to the hospital right now! If I have to push pups out of my hoo-ha then he HAS to be here.” I quickly told the group we should go be with Elise. My sister in law actually had perfect timing.

I assured her, “EJ is incoming. I swear these Conners men…. forget their heads… but only in a personal crisis. Your mate is running instead of popping… or portaling… he had options.” Elise granted, “They do that. I think it’s the testosterone.”

I teased, “I think it’s the Y chromosome that’s the problem.” My sister in law chuckled, “Thank you for the laugh. Labor is no joke. I want an epidural.” I assured her, “I doubt they will deny the head Luna … of the entire pack… an epidural.” If they did… I could easily help her. So… they’d better not.

That made my wolf laugh. Elise snorted, “They better not.” I replied, “There’s a charm for pain that EJ has to know… ask himto do it.” Elise reverently said, “I love you and your researching brain. Thank you! God knows EJ probably forgot all about it.”

I was sensing the man probably had. EJ seemed to be very nervous about the birth of his first pups. Which… was normal for an Alpha… based on my research. Xander popped us to the hospital. His mom was already there with their dad.

Xander popped out and back in with Alpha Peter and Luna Chelsea. I really wanted to get back to my research. Xander asked, “What’s wrong?” I sighed, “Nothing, I just want to get back to this book… it’s a diary really… but I think it’s really important and…” My husband conjured it and handed it to me.

I smiled, opened it, and resumed reading. Several more entries about learning all the passages in the castle. There was a worker on the inside who was providing Aeidelyn with the schematics so the takeover would happen.

It was common knowledge that most of Faerie wanted the O’Toole’s out. Aeidelyn was proud her family would be on the throne, but she still didn’t understand why her brother and Alania were the chosen successors.

In fact, Aeidelyn seemed pretty upset about it. Jealous was the right word. Freya snorted, “Definitely jealous.” Aeidelyn also mentioned that she had been spending a lot of time with Alania. My eyes went widened as I continued to read the next entry.

Dear Diary,
