Later that night, as we walked inside, my eyes scanned over the side-by-side axolotl tanks of Gumdrop and Raindrop. Dex had adopted an axolotl in hopes for Gumdrop to have a friend, and he had fallen in love with Raindrop. The black axolotl floated next to Gumdrop, and they glared at each other.
It was safe to say that they were enemies rather than friends, but he was a good addition to our family.
Skel and I had tried to get Comet to come stay with us here, but she’d been depressed, so we let her stay at Occult Cat-tuary. We went back to visit often, though.
My gaze moved toward the black kitten curled up on the couch, looking as relaxed as ever. My chest tightened, the memory of losing him still vivid.
Nebula, my best friend and familiar, lifted his head and tilted it. “Are you six going to close the door this time?”
“Hey, Nebs, you can walk away now,” Skel teased him, going over to scratch behind his ear.
“Skel, I’ve told you, I’m a familiar, stop that—wait,no.Yes.Right there,” Nebula purred, and Skel chuckled as he listened to his direction.
Reed took my hand, pressing a kiss to my knuckles. “Come to bed, dream girl.”
“Ihavebeen wanting to show the guys how much you like being bound by my shadows,” Dex whispered in my ear.
“Wedowant to see that,” Bram practically moaned, his red eyes shimmering with desire.
“Please, princess,” Skel begged.
“Ugh, gross.” Nebula patted his hand away before jumping off the couch and striding past us. “I’ll be going for a walk. Enjoy yourselves.”
“Sorry, Nebula!” I called after him as he made a disgruntled noise, going through the cat door on the front door.
“What do you think, starlight?” Hunter’s gaze heated as he waited for me to answer.
I turned, feeling desire pool between my legs, and I nodded. “It’s always a yes with you five.”
“That’s exactly what we love to hear,” Dex purred, grabbing me off the floor and over his shoulder before he shadow-traveled us up the stairs to our room, leaving the other four downstairs.
They shouted their protests, and their footsteps were fast and hard as they bounded up the stairs.
“Let’s get you naked and bound before they get up here, baby, what do you think?” Dex clicked his tongue ring against his teeth as he stripped bare, grabbing his cock and pumping it.
I melted. “Please, Dex.”
His shadows acted fast, ripping my bikini from my body and stringing me up over the bed in a few seconds flat—and heat seared down my spine as desire scorched through my veins. There was no fear of his shadows anymore, and I was so thankful for that.
Dex and I started what we calledexposuretherapy after he and Damien had an apparenteye-openingconversationabout how shadows could be used in sex.
I wasn’t mad about it in the slightest.
The door flew open as the rest of my mates barreled into the room.
“Fucking Fates,” Skel hissed, his green eyes searing every inch of my exposed skin as he took in my vulnerable state.
“You’re fucking hot,” Bram blurted.
“Literally a dream,” Reed agreed, nodding his head as he moved forward.
“Starlight, how do you like being put on display like this for all five of your mates?” Hunter mused, strolling forward and pushing his dark blond hair out of his eyes as he studied just how Dex’s shadows bound me and suspended me over the top of our bed.
“I like it,” I rasped. “Feeling vulnerable around you five…I like that.”
“And how do you want us, brat?” Bram purred, adjusting his septum piercing before undressing.
