“I apologize for getting caught up in the moment,” Hunter said to me, clearing his throat like he was slightly embarrassed.
“Don’t,” I rasped, moving over and wrapping my arms around his neck. “I got carried away, too.”
“Put me in the bathroom and shut the door,” Nebula pleaded from my bag. “I can hear everything from the drawer and the bag.
My face heated again as I let Hunter go and scooped Nebula out of my bag, taking him into the bathroom and setting him gently on the counter. “I’m so sorry about this.”

I turned and shut the door behind me with a small sigh before my heart stuttered.
