I wrung my hands together. "Heaven's waiting room."

"Heaven?" he echoed, brows furrowed and forehead scrunched up. "Why?"

I sucked my bottom lip into my mouth.Would he even want this?

"Want what?"

"Visitors for William and Agnes Bellet," an angelic voice spoke into the room, and they warped us into paradise before I could answer.

Panic seized me. I didn’t have a chance to prepare him for this.

I hoped I wasn't too presumptuous with what I’d thought Blaise needed, but I watched him a lot in my spare time. He’d get this faraway look in his eye whenever nothing was going on, and I could feel the grief wafting off of him. After he took me into his memories to see the blacksmith shop, I thought he’d been missing his human life. When he told me his story back in the gym that day, the pain of losing both of his parents was still fresh after all of these years.

I wanted to help heal that pain, and what better way to heal it than getting him closure?

He clutched my body to his chest as he took in our surroundings. We were standing with our feet in warm grains of sand as waves crashed behind us, brine bubbling over the sand before retreating into the ocean.

A warm breeze swept through us as palm trees lined the opening of the island's forest, and a beautiful, modernized home floated above the sand. Sunlight bathed us in a comfortable warmth, and his hold on me loosened.

“Lilith, where are we?”

“We’re in Heaven.”

"Blaise?" a woman's gentle voice called from our right, and he turned.

His entire body tensed as tears welled up in his gray eyes. "Mum?"

She was beautiful with long, flowing white hair and bright green eyes. Her body was petite, just a couple of inches taller than me, and she had such a warm smile as she stared at him.

Standing next to her was a man at least a foot taller than her with coal black hair and familiar gray eyes. He had the same muscle definition Blaise had. His facial features looked just like Blaise's, and his eyes were wide with a mixture of surprise and contentment.

Agnes stepped forward with small, hesitant steps until she stood right in front of him. I pressed my palm into the middle of his back, nudging him forward, and he opened his arms as she wrapped herself around his waist.

“You were a little boy the last time I held you, and now, you’re holding me.”

They stayed that way for a while, and she sobbed as he held her.

William offered me a smile when they finally pulled apart, and he stepped forward to hug his son.

Blaise's eyes were filled with tears, and they dripped down his cheeks as he wrapped his arms around his dad. "I didn't know it was possible to see you again."

I smiled, and my chest tightened.I can't wait for the day I can see my family again.

My memories came back from my past life, but the memories from my human life were still fresh. Even though I was a supernatural hybrid, I would always have the memories of growing up human with a loving family. I missed Mom and my brothers so fucking much, but with everything that had been going on, I hadn’t thought about them too much.

Twenty years may seem insignificant compared to the several millennia of memories I had tucked away in my brain, but the pure love I held for my family was strong, and more than anything, I hoped they were doing okay.

"Lilith," Blaise said, a smile on his lips as William let him go, and he stood in between his parents. "Thank you."

Happiness flickered through my being as my gaze bounced between the three of them. "You don’t have to thank me."

"I'm so relieved.” Blaise’s voice sounded ten-times lighter, as if they had lifted an immense weight off his shoulders. "You both seem...happy. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you this at peace before."

"Well, we're in our own little slice of Heaven.” Agnes swept her arm toward the ocean waves. "We've been watching you through a window. We watched you grow into a man. We had to watch when those men broke in and—” A sob wrenched from her throat.

“You never came to Heaven," William said thickly. "We didn't know what happened to you."

"It's because he's supernatural now," I interjected. "The dead in Heaven cannot see supernatural souls through the window. Only humans."
