I caught the cool plastic bag and tore into it. “Of course we did.” I sucked the blood from the bag before tossing it in the trash.

“Do we have weapons?” Thaddeus asked.

“Do we need them?” I held out a hand, and hellfire covered from my elbow to my fingertips. “My hellfire took Viktor’s entire arm, remember?”

He clicked his tongue before grabbing a gun from his bag. “This isn’t anything special, but it can slow him down if we need it to.”

Blaise snorted. “I think Lilith’s hellfire will do more damage than a gun, mate.”

“I think the point is to distract him so she can use her hellfire, then one of us can obliterate him,” Kai said. “None of our powers worked on him before, remember?”

“Finally, someone with a bloody brain,” Thaddeus said with a huff.

“Hey!” I pursed my lips. “I have a brain.”

“You have a beautiful brain, my beloved.” Aziel came over and kissed my head.

“I’m gonna puke.” Blaise gagged.

“This is why Aziel’s my favorite today.” I pulled Aziel down and kissed his warm lips.

“I wanna be the favorite,” Kai whined.

I patted his cheek. “Then do something sweet or give me orgasms.”

“Priamos and Mortala are still undercover so we have to be careful not to give their positions away,” Thaddeus said in a sharp tone.

Kai ran a hand through his hair. “What’s the plan? We can’t go in there blind.”

“We infiltrate with stealth,” Aziel told him. “Then we kill Viktor and his lackeys and free the remaining captives.”

“Essentially, yes,” Thaddeus said. “We sneak into the compound, find Mortala or Priamos for information, track down and obliterate Viktor, locate all the captives, human or not.”

“What about the humans?” Kai asked. “They’ve probably seen some shit.”

“Turn them over to the authorities. They’ll think they’d been drugged.” Thaddeus shrugged. “We can’t do more than that, but we’ll have to do something to get the new-bloods acclimated to the supernatural world.”

“I’m sure the Order of the Void has a rehabilitation set up for them,” Kai said.

“All right.” I clapped my hands, and everyone turned their attention toward me. “I have my black thigh-high boots and leather body suit on. I’m dressed to be a ninja badass.”

Blaise’s eyes raked down my outfit, and he paused on my chest. “I’m not mad at the way your boobs look in that.”

I winked, rocking back on my heels to give a little bounce. "That's the point."

He dug his teeth into his bottom lip with a groan.

"Are you trying to distract us, my beloved?" Aziel's voice was breathy, and his gaze met mine.

"No, of course not." I flung my hair to the side. "But if I look like a badass, I'll feel like a badass, and then I’llbea badass."

Thaddeus snorted. "Some logic that is, but you look...stunning."

"She's so gorgeous," Kai agreed, stepping forward as he stared at me from head to toe. "I bloody love it."

"Are you all rea—" Titan stopped short as he entered our room. "Holy fuck, dude. You look like a warrior princess."

"I'm Lilith." I grinned. "It's only fitting."
