At that moment, Titan appeared before us. “Am I missing something?”
I jumped, slapping Aziel’s teasing hand away, and blinked away the foggy haze. “What’re you talking about?”
He arched an eyebrow before sniffing the air, raking his gaze down my body and rolling his eyes at Aziel. “Nothing.”
Thaddeus cleared his throat. “News?”
Titan shrugged. “Same old, same old. Mortala says they’re getting closer to finding a lead on Viktor.”
“Come and join us for dinner,” I offered.
Titan turned and chuckled. “I’ll pass and let you all finish whatever the hell it was you were doing.”
Then he vanished in a blur of black.
Silence settled over the guys, and I started filling my plate up. I couldn’t focus on anything when Aziel was touching me. The pleasure overrode anything else around me, and the guys watching made it so much hotter. I may manipulate lust, but lust had so much fucking power over me.
As we all started eating, Aziel placed his hand back on my thigh and trailed up again. I stifled another moan as his fingers brushed my core again.
Thaddeus stood abruptly, chair screeching on the floor, and he grabbed an extra blood bag from the fridge. Staring at Aziel, he ripped a hole in it and gulped it down.
He didn’t say a word, but Aziel pulled his hand from me and put his elbows on the table.
I glanced in between the two.
That’s weird. Aziel never cares what anyone thinks.
Blaise rolled his eyes. “Yeah, that’s true, actually.”
Aziel started blinking and rubbed his forehead. “What the fuck, Thaddeus?”
“What’d you do, mate?” Kai dropped his fork onto his empty plate, staring up at Thaddeus.
Thaddeus’s gaze locked with mine. “I was thinking he should stop touching you.”
My mouth fell open. “No fucking way! Try to do something to Blaise!”
Blaise’s head whipped toward me. “Why do I have to be the guinea pig?”
“Take one for the team.” I winked, getting out of my seat to stand by Thaddeus.
Thaddeus shrugged and stared at Blaise. A second later, Blaise was standing on his chair.
“That’s a cheeky order, mate,” Blaise huffed. “How’re you able to control us? I thought your power was limited to humans, and that you had to say it out loud or touch them.”
“I thought that too,” he said, reaching out and tilting my chin up for me to look at him. “I think it’s something with your blood.”
“My blood?”
That made sense, actually.
I nibbled on my bottom lip. It was Viktor’s whole reason for wanting to suck new-bloods dry. He wanted to steal their powers and use them for himself. What if that crazy notion had some backing?
“Has anyone else drank from her?” Aziel asked, raising his brows with a scowl on his handsome face.
My face heated as what happened with Blaise and Kai flooded my mind. The way their fangs felt buried inside my flesh and the way they felt buried inside of me.
Blaze tilted his head back and groaned. “I didn’t need that visual right now, Poppy.”
