“After the mess you both were in when she was missing, I assumed you loved her, yes.” His smile makes his eyes wrinkle at the corners and his eyes light up with a warmth I only see when he talks to Nyx.
“Well…after a discussion with Graham. We have decided that legally I would be the one to ask Nyx’s hand in marriage, and I would like your blessing.”
“Just you, Demitri?” Bill’s confusion is written all over his face.
“We would both commit ourselves to her. I would do just a ceremony for us. I was thinking of hand fasting or something to signify my commitment to her. But those would be her choices.” Graham takes over to squash any of Bill’s concerns. “But, as you know, Dee doesn’t have much for family, once his sister passed, and I would like for him to be able to give Nyx his name and start his own family with her. They will never be able to get rid of me, and she will still be ours, but in the eyes of the government she would be his family.”
Bill’s eyes get watery, a condition I don’t think I have ever seen them in. He rubs them with his thumb and forefinger before taking a big swig of his beer. I pull the ring box out of my pocket to show him. In the box sits a large black diamond engagement ring, the main stone sparkles like the night sky, pear-shaped, and surrounded by small red halo diamonds. The band winds around with vines in white gold.
“It is perfect.” Bill’s statement surprises me. I assumed all dads wanted their daughters to have the standard ring, but I saw this one and had to have it. “It is everything Nyx could ever want, and I like to believe she would pick you both for life. You have my blessing, Demitri, and as long as she will have you, welcome to the family.”
Bill stands up from his seat, and I follow suit. The minute I am standing, he wraps his arms around me in a huge, life changing, hug. Graham stands and once Bill releases me, he is wrapping Graham into the same hug. I guess this wasn’t so bad after all.
CHAPTER 63
NYX
Iwoke up snuggled in the middle of my men. The meat of my very own hard, muscled, delicious sandwich. A girl couldn’t ask for a better Christmas morning. There is a brisk chill in the house, despite knowing the heat is on. Sliding my body back just slightly into the arms that are wrapped around my waist. The scent that envelops me is the cedar and spice of Graham.
“Good morning, Little Witch.” Graham growls in my ear. “Merry Christmas.”
“Merry Christmas, Blue.” I look over my shoulder and give him a quick peck.
I feel a light thud on the bed just moments before Midnight's head pokes up between me and Graham. Scratching between his ears, I lean over and give him a kiss on his head. “Merry Christmas, Momma’s precious boy.”
“Mmm, that’s a new nickname.” Demitri groans before rolling over to face Graham and I. Scooping Midnight up and placing him between us.
“Goofball, I was talking to Midnight.” A giggle leaves my throat. “Merry Christmas, Demon.” Leaning over my purring cat, placing a kiss on Demitri’s lips.
“Merry Christmas, beautiful.” Demitri let out a groan before climbing out of our huge oversized bed.
“Babe,” the whine that comes out of my mouth makes me cringe slightly, but I wasn’t ready for him to get up yet. Reaching out, I try to pull Demitri back to bed. “Come back to bed.” Leaning over Midnight Dee kisses my forehead before grabbing his shirt to throw on with his pajama pants.
Graham pulls me back to him, and his lips meet the sensitive skin between my neck and collarbone. He sends goosebumps down my flesh, and it heats under his touch.
“I finally have you at my mercy to chase this blush.” He snatches Midnight off the bed. “You don’t need to see what I’m going to do to your momma. Go see what Dee is up to.” He sets him outside of the bedroom and closes the door.
Graham clears the space between the bed and the doorway in a matter of moments. Grabbing my ankles, he pulls me towards the end of the bed before climbing my body to crash his lips to mine. Breaking the kiss, his lips trail down my jaw to my neck. My skin flushes as I feel the warmth travel down to my breasts.
“Such a gorgeous blush.” He bites gently on my collarbone, causing a groan to rumble in my throat. “Fuck, you are the sweetest thing in the world. Dee will kill me for having dessert before breakfast.“
Graham takes two handfuls of my sleep shirt and rips it down the middle with one swift tug. “Hey, that was my favorite shirt.”
“I’ll give you another one.” His tongue runs down between the valley of my breasts before dragging over one nipple. His teeth drag over the bud with just enough of a bite to make me gasp. His mouth leaves my breast and trails down my abdomen to nip at my hip bones.
“Fuck, you are such a tease.” Pulling at his blonde hair, I try to move him to where I want him. My core throbbing.
“Breakfast is ready.” Demitri opens the bedroom door. “Oh, it looks like Graham has already eaten his.”
“Fuck you, you interrupted before I got to snack on her dripping pussy.”
“We can continue this after gifts and breakfast. Cal and Kyra are downstairs waiting for us.”
Kyra has been crashing in the guesthouse, and Callum found a small apartment in town, but he always seems to be here. Not that any of us are complaining. Grabbing clothes out of the closet quickly, I throw on my favorite pair of black leggings and the same oversized hoodie Graham gave me the first night I was here. Pulling the grey fabric over my head makes me smile.
It’s only been a few months with the boys, but they are absolutely everything I could have ever asked for myself. They do everything in their power to protect me, love me and care for me no matter what. They don’t run from my broken pieces. If anything, they mix their broken bits in with mine, and we make the most gorgeous piece of art. Our love is the golden glue that holds us together.
Walking down stairs, the air smells of cinnamon and coffee. Our loved one’s murmurs fill the air. Instrumental Christmas music plays softly through the speakers in the ceiling. When I come to the base of the staircase, I notice the living room is decked out even more than I had done. There are twinkling lights that line the ceiling, gifts scattered all around the tree, and I am shocked to see more than Kyra and Cal in the kitchen.
