Before she could question him, Philip was kissing her again, but this time with more force, but not unpleasant. He pulled away just for a moment, and she sucked in a breath, but before she could close her lips again, Philip was kissing her, except this time deeper.

Goodness!

One would think this would be unpleasant, but that was certainly not the case. In fact, it made her rather dizzy.

Antonia tilted her head so that she could mimic him and allow better access but had to grasp his shoulders to remain upright. Her knees had even gone weak as heat swept through her body.

Philip pulled her close, his hands smoothing up and down her back as he continued to kiss her. All Antonia could do was participate and hold on. When his hands grasped her bottom, he pulled his lips away from hers and began kissing her cheek and then neck.

Goodness! Antonia had no idea what to do, or if she could do anything as her body grew hotter and her breasts ached. Had Philip not been holding her, she would have most definitely collapsed.

When he pressed against her, she felt his desire against her abdomen and that ache spread to her nether regions, a pulsing as her clothing grew too tight.

She was even finding it difficult to breathe correctly.

Philip straightened, and looked down into her eyes and then brought his hands to cradle her face.

“Do you now understand why it would have been so dangerous to kiss you last night?”

All she could do was nod, because had he done so, Antonia would have wanted to undress for comfort and let him kiss her all night long.

And, perhaps much more.

Antonia blinked. His aura was now red and no other color. She had never seen it in anyone before. Strength and passion. Likely hers was red too.

Goodness! That is what she was experiencing. Antonia wanted him to kiss her again. She wanted his hands on her body because she knew that it would somehow relieve the aches that had developed, and she wanted to touch him too, and not just grasp his shoulders.

“I always knew that passion would simmer between us,” he whispered.

She had been drawn to him but had no comprehension of what else there could be. It was certainly beyond her imagination what it would be like to be kissed and held.

“I have fallen in love with you, Antonia, and it has nothing to do with a spell.”

She blew out a sigh of relief. “I love you too.”

“Perhaps I was wrong.”

Antonia blinked as her heart cooled. “About what?”

“About letting all settle and then court.”

Maybe he did not like kissing her as much as she enjoyed his lips on her. He couldn’t kiss her like that and just walk away, could he? Except, he said he was in love with her, so…unless he loved but didn’t like kissing her. Was that even possible?

The side of his mouth quirked “What worries you? Certainly, you can feel my emotions.”

Antonia frowned and looked away, concentrating on him. “This is the first time something like this has happened.”

“What?”

“I can feel your touch...your hands on my face and mine on your shoulders.” She looked into his eyes. “But not your emotions.” Had Gaia taken that gift away after all? It was the oddest sensation, not feeling him.

“My aura?” he asked.

“Red.” She smiled. Passion! If he was disappointed, that would not be his color. “And also green.” The color of unconditional love.

She blew out her breath and tried not to smile too broadly.

“Those are good?” he asked.
