“Where did your sister take my fiancée and my baby? Think hard before you lie because you won’t leave here alive if you don’t tell me what I need to know,” Rowdy said as he stood and walked over to where Taylor sat.

“Yo’ fiancé and baby? I don’t know shit about that. Last I heard, you used her to get at Jakari, and you kidnapped her. She said she was going to get you back, but her main focus was Jakari. I didn’t even know you had a baby or a fiancée,” she lied.

Before Rowdy could respond, I rushed over and snatched that bitch out of her seat by her ponytail.

“Lie again, bitch! You jumped Harmoni with your delusional ass sister. Yo’ stupid ass knew that Diamond went after Rowdy because she was obsessed with her. So, tell me again that you ain’t know he had a fiancée and a baby!” I literally spat in her face as I growled.

“I swear I didn’t know they were engaged or had a baby together. All I knew was that Black and Harmoni were together, and Diamond wanted to steal him. He pretended to like my sister, then he kidnapped her, and in the process, she got shot by her baby daddy’s brother. She blamed everybody involved and swore to get back at them. I haven’t spoken to her since she went missing, and I swear I never knew what she had planned other than setting up Jakari!” she cried.

I believed her for some reason, but she would still have to pay for her past transgressions. Just as I was about to give her a good ass whooping, her phone rang in her purse. I snatched her purse from her shoulder, breaking the strap, and passed it to Rowdy, who stood beside me. He grabbed the phone out of her purse and saw that it was her mom calling.

“When I answer this phone, talk normal and find out where the fuck your sister at now!” Rowdy said as he accepted the call and placed it on speaker.

“Wassup, Momma?” Taylor answered.

“Where are you? Diamond finally called, and she sounded really nervous about something. She told me not to ask any questions and to get out of the house now. She said it’s not safe for us and to get as far away as possible. I got JJ, and we’re about to hit the highway. I packed you a few things, but we can just stop once we get to where we going,” Taylor’s mom blurted.

“Ma, what has Diamond gotten us into? I was cool with Jakari going to jail, but having to be on the run is crazy. I just need to sit down and talk to my sister. Where is she?” Taylor reluctantly asked.

Rowdy mouthed for her to also ask for her mom’s location, or to ask where she wanted her to meet them.

“I don’t know where Diamond is, and I don’t give a damn! I’m tired now! All this drama behind some nigga that ain’t worth a damn is crazy. I could normally stand behind her, but after this, I have to wash my hands. We don’t have a lot of time, Taylor. Are you coming or not? If not, you need to be very careful. I think Diamond has upset some really bad people,” her mother said.

“Ma, where are you right now? Where should I meet you?” Taylor asked as she fought back tears. She knew exactly what time it was once we got that location.

“Meet me at your grandparents’ old house. It’s far enough out that I don’t think I’ll be followed. Your sister told me not to say too much over the phone, so hurry up if you’re coming.” Her mom rushed off the phone.

“Give us the location to your grandparents’ place, and I need your sister’s cell phone number,” I told Taylor.

“Do what you want to with me, but y’all not about to touch my momma. If she had given her location, it would have been whatever, but I’m not gonna give my momma up to y’all.”

“Okay, that’s cool. Quick question, though. Who was the nigga in this video that helped Diamond kidnap my girl and my son?” Rowdy asked as he showed Diamond the video.

“That’s her boyfriend Serg. She met him in witness protection. All I know is that he is from Memphis and was part of a big drug organization but had to flip on his people because he was facing life sentences. He is probably behind all this. My sister wouldn’t snatch no baby, man. You need to be after Serg or Journei and leave my sister and mom alone. Journei would do anything to get back on Diamond’s good side, so it really could have been her idea. That was her in the scrubs that Diamond was talking to.”

“I know exactly who she is, but the question is, how do you know her. What reason would she have to set my family up?” Rowdy asked Taylor.

“That’s our cousin, and she had been messing around with Jakari behind my sister’s back. She helped set Jakari up with the feds because she knew she had crossed Diamond and didn’t want any smoke with our family. She was on some shiesty shit. She has to be behind all of this! Find her!” Taylor begged.

“We didn’t know Journei before three days ago, so that’s impossible. I’m sure she was an accomplice of your sister, and she will be murked too. Give me the information you have on Journei,” Rowdy demanded.

Taylor ran off all the information that she knew about Journei, and she was going to be our next stop. This shit was getting crazier by the minute.

“Can I leave now? I need y’all to promise to leave my mom out of this also.”

Before either of us could respond, Grimy walked over to where we stood and explained to Taylor that his only grandson was missing. Taylor refused to give him any information on her mom or the address to where they spoke about meeting. I was still holding Taylor by her ponytail when Grimy pulled a pocketknife out of his pocket, jugged it into the side of Taylor’s neck, then pulled it back out. She gasped for breath and reached for her neck before her body went limp.

I instantly let go of her hair.

When I looked over at Grimy, he was cleaning his knife before he placed it back into his pocket.

Rowdy made a call to his clean up guys and asked them to get there as soon as they could. I wanted to get onto Grimy for not allowing me to get a couple good punches in, but I knew better than to test him. I didn’t know where this man came from, buthe was a real OG. I had no doubt that with him on our team, we would bring Harmoni and Cadence home real soon.

As we started to leave, Trell grabbed my wrist, stopping me in my tracks. Instinctively, I placed my hand around his neck and choked him as hard as I could.

“Don’t ever put yo’ dirty ass hands on me again! We are nothing and never will be nothing! If it ain’t about bringing my nephew and best friend home, don’t say a bitch ass thang to me. I really wanna do something bad to you, so just stay out of my way, fuck nigga,” I spat as I let him go.

“Damn, Trell. Looks like you’ve met yo’ match,” Grimy joked.
