I laugh at the disgusted face she's making. I have to agree it shouldn’t be done. Pineapple is not meant to go on pizza. Standing up we walk towards the truck, Victor being unusually quiet. Helping Katya inside I close the door and turn to Victor. Gathering me in his arms he holds on tight to me.

“Never once did I stop and think of these things popping up at school. But you knew exactly what to say to make her smile. So thank you baby, we would honestly be lost without you. I would be lost without you.”

“Victor, you don’t have to thank me for anything. I would do whatever it takes to see Katya smile. For either one of you. I love you guys.” He bends down, sealing his lips on mine, stealing my breath away. Pouring out every emotion I have into this kiss making sure he knows what I feel for him. Pulling back he kisses me one more time.

“Come on, let's get you ladies fed.”

Getting into the truck we pull out of the parking lot and head to the pizza place. The whole time Katya is talking away about what she did today. Her tears are long forgotten now. The pizza place is just around the corner. Victor finds a parking spot and we both help Katya down. Walking hand and hand with her in the middle like a family. Just being around Katya makes me think of having my own child. I want to have as many kids as God is willing to give me. Walking inside we sit at a booth in the back already knowing what we want so we place our orders right away. This is my moment to talk to Kat, blowing out a breath I turn to her next to me.

“Katya?” Looking up at me with her beautiful blue eyes so much like her Uncles.

“Yes Auntie?”

“I was wondering how you would feel if I moved into the house with you guys?” Nibbling my lip waiting for her answer, but I guess Victor was right and I had nothing to worry about.

“Oh will you, can you? We will have so much fun together every day. You can paint my nails, Uncle Vic tries but he’s not that good at it. Just don’t tell him I said that I don’t want to hurt his feelings.” She whispers the last part as if he can’t hear her at all. Making both of us laugh. “This is the best day ever.”

I turn to Victor and he’s giving me the I told you so look making me roll my eyes at him. But you can’t miss the massive smile on my face.

“So when is this tea party? I’m excited to go shopping.”

“Me too, we can get pretty dresses. The tea party is Friday during the day so I don’t have to go to school.” She has an excited look on her face. I'm not sure if she’s more excited to miss school or shopping. I lean down to whisper slightly loud so Victor can still hear.

“Maybe if we give Uncle Victor the sad puppy dog eyes we can convince him to let us both skip work and school. That way we have a full day of shopping on Thursday.”

“Oh, I can do that. I give him that look all the time when I want something and he never says no.”

Biting my lip to stop from laughing I turn to Victor and see he’s fighting a smile as well. I’m sure by now he’s caught on to what she’s doing but doesn't call her out on it. Giving him the sad look she says.

“Uncle Victor. Can Auntie and I skip Thursday pretty please? We have to get pretty dresses. I’ll love you forever and ever.” She’s good. I'll give her that. I'm even ready to hand over anything she wants and it was my idea. She’s even got her hands under her chin looking all innocent. He’s trying hard not to laugh. He throws his hands out.

“Fine you can go but no more sad look. I don’t like to see you sad.”

“Yay! Thank you, Uncle Victor. You're the best uncle ever.”

The food arrives and we don’t talk till everything is gone. Not realizing how hungry I was. I can feel Victor’s eyes on me. It's like my body is being zapped anytime he looks at me. Looking up I see he’s got a smile on his face watching me. Mouthing I love you to me. Mouthing I love you back to him. Today has just been a great day. I know every day after this will just get better and better with these two sitting beside me.

Chapter 5

Once we got home from dinner, I got right to frosting the cakes and cupcakes with my little helper supervising me. Talking away about our shopping trip and what she wanted to get. Because a girls gotta have matching shoes and purses. She's such a little diva. I love that about her. She always wants to have her nails done in pretty colors. The rhinestone shoes I bought her she wears every day to school. She told me they make her feel like a princess. I'm just sitting down at the kitchen island just having finished with my orders and cleaning up having a much-needed coffee when Katya walks in.

“Auntie Bella, can I ask you a question?”

“Sure sweetheart you can ask me anything.”

“Do you think we can convince Uncle Victor to let me wear makeup at the tea party? I'm sure if I give him puppy eyes again he will let me?”

I'm trying hard not to laugh at the determination on her face right now. Victor walks in hearing the last bit.

“What am I going to let you do?” He comes over and steals my coffee. That's a big no, no in my book you don't take someone else coffee. You're just asking for an ass-kicking.

“Hey, give that back you overgrown stubborn mule. Go make your own. Don't you know that's grounds for a beating?” I'm giving him a fierce look but by the smirk on his face, I'm not succeeding. I can hear Katya giggling beside me.

“What's mine is yours, that's how a relationship works, Malen'kiy.” He bends down to whisper in my ear, making me shiver. “Later we can roll around for that beating if you like.” He places a small kiss on my neck. Straightens up and turns towards his niece, as if I'm not sitting here soaking wet just by that little touch. Squirming in my seat I grab my coffee back needing something in my hands so I don't reach out and grab ahold of him.

“Now, what am I agreeing with Kat?” He folds his arms giving her his full attention.

She gives him an angelic smile which makes me snort in my coffee. She's laying it on thick tonight. I can see his lips twitching trying to hide his smile.
