“Tree,” he said as he grabbed for her hand.

“Von don’t,” she said as she snatched her hand away. “Just stop.”

“This isn’t something you can run away from. Not anymore. You’ve been running, and running, and running. That’s over. Either you tell him, or I will.”

“You will?” Trina looked at him as if she was looking at him for the first time. “You don’t know anything about my husband.”

“I know what you’re saying. I know he’s supposed to be this tough guy that’s always voted the most powerful man in Vegas. Used to run his old man’s mob operation. I heard all that shit. But I also heard his bark is worse than his bite.”

“That’s what your ass think. You haven’t seen his bite.” Then she scrunched up her face. “And I love him,” she said with pure emotion in her voice. “I don’t wanna hurt him ever. Not ever, Von. You don’t understand that,” she said as she turned toward the bathroom again.

But he grabbed for her hand again. This time she snatched it away with emphasis and hurried toward the bathroom.

She barely made it half-way there when, as sudden as a flash of lightening, a massive four-by-four pickup truck came barreling through the front of the small motel room and slammed into the bed, knocking Von violently against the back wall as if he was a rag doll.

Trina turned as soon as she heard the crash and was so stunned to see a truck speeding towards her that she turned to get away with such rapidness that she slipped and fell. Then she sat on her ass backing up as fast as she could, trying with all she had to get out of harm’s way. Was it a drunk driver? Was it a senior in a medical emergency?

But she quickly realized it was no accident at all when gunmen jumped out of that truck with their weapons drawn. They fired numerous slugs into Von, as his lifeless body remained caught between the mattress and the wall, and then they turned their weapons onto Reno Gabrini’s wife. The very reason why they came. And they began firing on her too.

Trina could feel heat and pain coursing through her body as she heard the gunfire. Then she could feel her consciousness leaving her body as her hands desperately clawed against the wall trying to pull herself up. But there was no grip to be had, just a smooth, hard surface, and she ended up sliding right back down.

“Reno!” She cried out with a voice that sounded like a scream to her, but it was barely a whisper. “Reno, help me!Reno!”

But as it all faded to black, even she knew it was too late for that now.

CHAPTER FIVE

THREE DAYS EARLIER

She was riding him like she was riding the bull, and Reno enjoyed watching her ride. She was sitting high and proud on top of him, straddling him, as if there was no other perch she’d rather occupy. Her huge melons were bobbling and her thick hair was tumbling down her back in waves of bounciness as she rode.

And every time she rode his rod down to the balls, she’d sling that hair back, revealing her deep-brown, elegant neck, and Reno would smile and wrap his big hand around that neck he adored. In his line of work women threw themselves at him literally and figuratively every single day of the week, and it was a bear sometimes to manage, but this was his woman. This was the one he wanted above all the rest. They were younger, they were gorgeous, they were ready, willing, and able to be whatever he wanted them to be. But whenever he saw them throwing themselves at him, he yearned for Tree. No woman had ever done for him what Trina did for him.

And when she laid her head down on his chest, and wrapped her arms around him, his heart filled with love for this woman. And then he took over, wrapping his arms around her, and her steady marathon of a ride became a sprint.

Reno was pounding her as they both began to feel that intensity before the cum. Especially Trina, who could barely hold on. “Oh, Reno,” she was crying out. “That’s it! That’s it, baby! That’s it!Shit!” she cried as she came.

And her reaction alone, as her body buckled to the power of his pounding, caused him to cum too.

After they both went over the top with elation, and after they crash-landed back down as he had poured all he had out of himself and into her, they collapsed.

Several minutes later, still holding onto each other, they fell asleep.

Two hours after that and Trina was awakened to the sound of a text notification from Reno’s phone. When she saw that Reno was still asleep, she picked up his phone off of the nightstand. Since she knew his pin because she recorded him inputting his pin once, she therefore was able to open his phone and read the text:

Why didn’t you drop by? Come to my room when you get this text. The name in the phone was Cardi. She should have known.

“Reno?”

When he didn’t respond, she shook him. “Reno?”

When he still didn’t respond, she slapped him.

He quickly woke up, his upper body partially lifting up. “What the fuck was that?” Then he felt the sting on his face. “What happened?”

“Cardi wants to know why you didn’t drop by. Cardi wants you to come to her room.” Then she got off of him, got out of bed, and threw his phone at him.

He caught it then fumbled it. Then he frowned. “What are you talking, Tree?”
