Back in my car, I go as fast as legally allowed until I’m pulling up to their building. The fire escape looms ahead, daunting in the dark. Nashville isn’t really quiet at night, not all the time, but it’s subdued, slower than normal, and a bit peaceful in its sleepiness. The easy route to take would be to march into the foyer, go straight to the elevator, and see Tab in less than a few minutes.

But I’m not convinced Micah doesn’t have the place under surveillance, or an agreement with the front desk regarding visitors. So, instead, I take one last look at the lit front entrance and then switch back to the fire escape. My only option.

I lock up my car, grab the flowers and walk toward the fire escape. Game day soreness has already settled in, and every step up the metal stairs feels like a challenge, but eventually, I get to the top. Out of breath, muscles protesting, but I’m there. Inside, I spot Tab in her robe. She’s holding shirts up to her body as if she’s trying to decide on which to wear. Clearly, she’s not ready for me yet, but I’m fine with that.

I knock gently on the window, and she jumps, a small scream escaping. She whirls around, and the terror filled look on her face is replaced with agitation. “Levi Soucy, what the fuck?”

I just smile big at her and show her the flowers and teddy bear. She wraps the robe more tightly around herself and marches to the window. She heaves it up. “What are you doing?”

“You invited me over.”

“I thought you would come up the normal way.”

“Are you crazy?” I step inside, unfolding my body and then gleefully taking a seat on her bed to rest, using the flowers and the teddy bear to cover my shirt. “Micah probably has this place locked down.”

She eyes me, and I watch her when she sighs. “Yeah, you’re right.” She moves over to her closet and starts replacing clothes back inside. “Plus, I don’t know that Rae-bae’s actually gone yet. She came back here with me to grab clothes.”

I wait for her to say something about the gifts I brought her, or anything, really, but she doesn’t. “I’ll have you know scaling that thing is no easy task. Especially after a game. Just another way I’m showing you how deep I’m into this.”

A high-pitched chuckle comes from behind me. “You’re something else.”

I sit up, watching her put the clothes away. “Did you see my heart?”

“I saw it,” she says softly.

“It was for you.”

“There’s really no telling,” she teases. “It’s not like you said my name.”

I smile. “My mistake. I’ll endeavor to do better next time.”

She closes her closet doors, and I sit up on my knees, moving the flowers and the teddy bear out of the way to show her my shirt. When she turns, she shakes her head, but then her gazelowers to the words across my chest and torso, and she bursts out laughing.

“I used your name this time.” I push my chest out, making sure she can read every word ofFor Tab’s Eyes Only.“I know you were jealous of that website dedicated to my ass, so I thought I’d make it obvious who I’m here to impress.”

“You’re ridiculous,” she jokes. She can’t stop laughing though, her blue eyes alive, almost dancing.

Hearing the joy in her voice makes me preen even more. “I also got you these.”

She takes the flowers and teddy bear, and after a quick sniff of the blooms, she sets them on her nightstand. “They’re pretty. Thank you.”

She stands awkwardly next to the bed, like I’ve invaded her space. I have, and I won’t apologize for it.

“So, what do you do after a game?”

“Wind down.”

“Like…?”

Major sex vibes waft off her. My dick immediately goes hard. We’re both thinking the same thing, I can feel it. “Any number of things.”

“Like…?” she asks again.

I beam at her. “Tab, if you want to fuck me, just say so.”

Tab

Levi pullsme down to the bed. He spreads my knees wide, my robe all but coming off in the process. My heart rate starts to spike. It’s not nerves though.
