As he spoke, Keynauri walked over and whispered something in Logic’s ear. My heart dropped to my feet when I saw him because I hadn’t expected him to be there. He didn’t notice me right away, but when he did, his eyes darted between Zoe and me. He said something else to Logic, and I assumed he must have filled him in on what was going on.
“Aye, lil’ mama, raise up out my section. I’m not sure who invited you, but those mothafuckas can get the fuck out too.” Keynauri ordered.
Within seconds, his security was escorting her out of the section.
“Get the fuck off of me!” she screamed, kicking her feet as the big, burly guard lifted her up.
“Bitch, this ain’t over. I’ma catch you in the street!”
“No the fuck you won’t! You’ll get your head split fucking with that one,” Keynauri shot back while Logic co-signed.
A part of me wanted to find a way to slide off Zoe’s lap without making things seem obvious, but that was nearly impossible.
“Damn, baby momma. I told you to get your back broken, but I ain’t mean for you to fuck with somebody in my circle. You gon’ have to go back to the drawing board, but this ain’t going down.”
I rolled my eyes at Keynauri, but I noticed the way Zoe tensed up right away.
“Whoa, this yo’ baby momma, Keyz? My bad, fam. She never told me she was yours.” I pushed up off his lap without a second thought.
“First off, I’m not his. I’m not some property to be owned. Yes, we have children together, but I am not in a relationship with him, and what I do with my personal life is my business.” I huffed, directing the last part of my statement to Keynauri.
“What you looking at me for? I already said what I said. You ain’t fucking with no nigga who hangs around me. You might as well get the thought out of your head,” he asserted, irritating me to no end.
“Fuck you, Keynauri!” I shouted as I attempted to walk past him. His hands gripped my waist before I could get too far.
“I can arrange that if you really want it. You don’t have to front for me; I know you miss this shit. I might not be fucking with you, but I can still fuck you, if that’s what you need,” Keynauri whispered in my ear. I wanted to cuss his ass out and tell him to choke on a dick, but my body was not on the same page as me. My pussy was leaking from a two-minute interaction, and I hated it.
“Where are my kids, while you’re over here offering services I never asked for?” I asked with my finger in his face.
“Our kids are at my house with my sister. You know, the one you kept away from them.”
My mouth fell open, and for once, I didn’t have an appropriate comeback.
“I’m gonna go.” Another attempt was made to get away from him, but he stopped me again.
“What now? All I’m trying to do is leave. I didn’t realize these were your people. Trust me, if I had known, I would have never agreed to come.”
Keynauri peered at me intensely, making me uncomfortable.
“You drove here?”
“What difference does it make to you?” I sneered.
“Why do you have to be so difficult? Obviously, if I’m asking, it’s for a reason. Chill with all the hostility.”
“Yes, I drove. Now what?” My arms were folded across my chest as we stood in the middle of the section, staring at one another.
“You’ve been drinking, and I don’t think you should be driving. If you want, I can have my driver take you home and drop your car off later, or you can chill in the section and drink some water until you sober up,” he offered.
“You’re acting as if I’m pissy drunk or something. I can walk a straight line if I needed to.”
“I gave you two options, ma. You can either take one or the other, but that’s it. It isn’t safe for you to be on the road while you’ve been drinking, and I’m not about to let you put yourself or anyone else in danger.”
“Let me? The last time I checked, I was grown! Who are you to tell me what I can and can’t do?” I shouted.
Keynauri stepped closer into my space, causing me to become temporarily distracted by the intoxicating scent of his cologne.
“You know who the fuck I am, but I would be more than happy to remind you, if you need a refresher. Like I said, ma, those are your choices. It isn’t up for debate.”
