“One scream, and I level the entire block,” Thor warns, as Hudson pulls me to his side. “Just be careful. These men are dangerous, and even though you think you’re mentally prepared, he might try to go beyond flirty with you to fuck with Hudson. Apollo might be volatile, but he’s not the only one that will put someone in a grave if they hurt you.”
“Awe, I bet you say that to all the Omegas,” I tease as he steps back, slipping into his role as security without another word. “Hudson is the one we have to worry about though.” I glance up at him as we make our way toward the front.
“Hardly. I’ll be helping Thor dig the hole for all the bodies,” he scoffs, and I shake my head.
“No, I mean, I’m not really yours, so whatever this guy says, you’re the one that has to make the jealousy look real.”
“You’re mine in my head. It’s just not official yet, baby girl. I can make jealousy look real as fuck over you.” The rumble in his chest is almost as delicious as the words themselves, but I’m only an Omega and can’t help pushing him.
“Right. You’re a poker player. You’re good at faking.” I nod, glancing up at him. Our fingers are laced together. Big hand. Long fingers. Thick fingers…No, bad Omega. Focus.
“I get jealous every time you take your eyes off me to look at anyone else. Seeing the Alpha that hurt Apollo and Beau try to talk to you? We’ll all be lucky if I don’t rip his throat out the second he stands too close to you.”
“Just give Apollo long enough to get what we need.”
“Don’t worry, Dream.” He leans in to whisper. “This isn’t my first murder either.”
Next thing I know, Hudson is on his knees in front of me, lifting my leg up over his shoulder and pressing his face into my center.
“Oh, sweet heavens,” I yelp, shoving my hands into his hair to steady myself. “Uh, what?” I don’t get to finish my question, though, because the Alpha is scent-marking my inner thighs.
He’s rubbing his stubble-covered cheek against my sensitive skin, and I swear, I see stars.
“Hudson,” I murmur when he sinks his teeth into my sensitive flesh.
The love bite doesn’t break the skin, but it’s going to leave a mark for sure. A claim. He’s telling everyone I belong to him.
My left thigh is the one on full display, and I realize that is exactly the goal. His spiced apple scent hits my lungs like a shot of tequila, and I moan. Damn, that’s so fucking good.
“That was hot.” I push my hand into my hair, fluffing it and shaking out the strands.
“I need to scent-mark you too. You don’t smell enough like me.”
I press my body against his and rub the top of my head under his chin, releasing my scent. It feels really good and makes my whole body tremble. I can’t resist doing it again. This time I rub my cheek against his throat.
“Fucking hell…” Hudson grunts, thumping into the brick wall behind him, his hands gripping my hips as I press a red lipstick kiss to his neck, just under his ear, for good measure. When I step away from him, his pupils are blown wide, and his chest is heaving with every inhale.
“Lucky asshole,” Thor grunts, keeping watch but leaving space between us.
“Perfect.” I grin before biting my lip as he pushes his hand into my hair and tips my head back.
“Don’t fake anything with me, Omega,” he growls, pupils still blown wide. “If it’s not all you, the real you, I don’t want it.” He releases me gently, taking a step back.
“What about you? You scent-marked me three inches from my pussy. Tell me that wasn’t for their sake,” I hiss.
“That was for my sake, so I don’t rip heads from necks the second we walk in that door. I’m not faking anything, not when it’s about how I feel for you.” Then he kisses me. It’s hot and fast and filthy. I’m panting and slick when he releases me, an apple-scented demon smiling down at me. “Thought that was clear back at Haze, but I guess I’ll just have to show you.”
The kiss he presses to my lips is more of a taunt, and I have to blink to clear the fog out of my head.
“Don’t look at me, Omega. You provoked him.” Thor chuckles, nodding at me to follow my man as he starts walking toward the front door again. I have to speed walk to catch up, but when I slide my hand into his, he squeezes.
“Be a good girl, and I’ll give you a reward, Omega.”
Shit.Does he mean "be a good girl" as in behave myself, or does he mean that he wants to see me be very, very bad?
Bad, I decide after giving it just a second of thought.
He wants me to be bad.
