DREAM

“You look pretty.” Beau grins at me, buzzing with energy. He didn’t love the part of the plan where he stays in the back of the SUV with Apollo, but the rest? He’s glowing.

“Thanks, handsome.” I wink, running my hand across the fabric of my black dress. It’s a halter neck cutout, showing off my hip and waist on my left side. On the right, the hem reaches my ankle, but on the left, the slit shows off most of my thigh. The back is completely open, flashing the dimples above my ass.

I went with matching black open-toe heels that make me two inches taller and a small clutch that Apollo insisted I stuff three knives into. As well as a taser and bear spray. I barely had room for a small scent blocker and a lip gloss.

“You look ready for war.” I can’t hold back my smile, bumping him with my shoulder, sitting so close to him that our thighs touch.

He’s wearing a black long-sleeve spandex top and black cargo pants and tightly laced combat boots.

My only regret is that Apollo and Beau had to douse themselves in scent blocker so Dexter wouldn’t smell them on me. Thor is driving, with Hudson next to him, and Apollo is in the seat behind me, tapping away on his laptop.

Hudson is wearing a long-sleeved black button-up, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, flashing forearm porn, and black jeans that hug his thighs in a criminal way. He looks the part of a drug-dealing Alpha thug. Not my type, but because it’s Hudson, he still looks hot as fuck.

Apollo and Thor are dressed the same as Beau in all black, but they look like security guards with their tight shirts and cargo pants hiding all kinds of weapons. Head-to-toe sexy.

“Jesus,” I whisper to Beau, gesturing to Hudson and Thor. “They look like Omega catnip, huh?” I wiggle my brows before lacing our fingers together.

“Glad you wore the thigh strap.” Apollo huffs, and I look back at him.

“It didn’t sound optional, Alpha.” I purr sweetly, smirking when I see he’s still wearing his many finger knives. A sneaky thought creeps in, and I can’t help but wonder how he would finger me with those on. Would he take them off first, or…?

“It wasn't, but I like when you listen.” Apollo shrugs one shoulder. “I like when you fight me just as much.” He winks, and I can’t wait to kiss him again.

“Let's go over the plan again,” Thor says, fingers tapping the steering wheel.

“Beau and I will remain in the SUV while you three head inside. The building is a gutted apartment complex with three units and no tenants. Dexter and his pack use the second floor to meet with dealers. The third floor is locked down, possibly where he keeps his supply. The first floor is the entrance and only exit.” Apollo says in a flat voice behind me, focused on the mission.

“We want Dexter to think I’m Hudson’s Omega for as long as possible. Thor is Hudson’s security and driver. I’m the distraction he’ll never suspect is a threat.”

Hudson turns in his seat, meeting my eyes briefly before taking in my body. “You’re going to get me killed wearing a dress like that.” The way he smiles makes my heart flutter. “If he tries anything, gut him.”

“Try to wait until after I hack his system and get what we need. Shouldn’t take long,” Apollo says. “But if he puts his hands on your body, I’m going to need you to remove them from his wrists.” Those words are a dark purr that has my scent sweetening.

The thought of Dexter smelling my desire for these men makes me want to pour acid down his throat, but I am their secret weapon for a reason.

“Dream lies to men every night and makes them think she wants them. This is just like that. She can handle herself. I’ve seen her lay out a man twice her size,” Thor says, tapping a faster beat and chewing his lip.

“Are you trying to convince us, or yourself, Big Guy?” I pat his shoulder. “I’ll be okay. Don’t worry too much.”

“Impossible.”

I’ve never seen Thor anything less than perfectly composed and in control during a mission.

“Dexter is a slimy fucking piece of shit,” Beau hisses. “Be careful, stay alert, and never hesitate to kill him if you have to, even if you don’t get the info we need.”

I can’t tell him that’s not happening. I’ll hold out as long as I have to, as long as it means we get what we need. Without that code, Beau will never truly be safe.

The chances of Dexter having it or knowing it are small, but we have to find out if he does. We’re also looking for anythingconnecting him to Scott, Whitehill, and anyone else that can help us take the entire thing down.

We go in, distract Dexter, look for the code, and kill him once we know he doesn’t have it. Simple.Ish.

“Don’t worry, I have plenty of experience with men like Dexter. He’ll be dead the moment I want him to die. Preferably after you get your pound of flesh.” I wink.

We park on the dark side of the building, giving Apollo the best chance of success.

“I’ll see you soon.” I press a kiss to Beau’s lips, tugging at his hair gently before releasing him. “Stick together,” I tell him and Apollo as Hudson opens the door for me to follow him and Thor into the dark.
