“Go, babe. Have fun. Get knocked up again,” I joked.

“I am so not ready for more babies yet.”

“But the practice part?”

She smiled. “More than ready.”

I thought so. “You’ll have to tell me all about it later.”

“If I’m not in bed, sleeping it off.”

I laughed as she rushed down the hall, leaving me alone at the table. The bar seemed less rowdy than normal. The members were drinking, but not as much as usual. They seemed to be taking it slow, which wasn’t normal behavior for bikers. I had a feeling the club was on alert, but only the members knew anything about it.

Hades noticed I was alone. He picked up his beer and joined me, taking the chair across from mine. “Hey, sweet girl.”

“Dad.” I couldn’t help my grin. “I’m surprised you don’t have company.”

He chuckled. “Not tonight.”

Fair enough.

Hades cleared his throat, and I knew something was on his mind. “So, you’re okay with Rev and Diesel? They treat you good?”

“Oh, yes.”

“And Void? I know you’re not actually blood-related, but people will talk. That bother you?”

“Not in the least,” I assured him.

“So, if I asked if you’re making this official?” He let the question hang in the air.

“Are you talking about a property cut? Because I’ll proudly wear one saying I belong to all three of them.”

Hades smirked. “Yeah. I never doubted you would once you found the right biker.”

“You just didn’t think it would be three of them, right?”

He rubbed the back of his neck, looking a bit uncomfortable. “Well, no.” He shrugged. “But you know I don’t give a shit about it as long as you’re happy.”

He was too sweet.

“And you are.” He paused. “Happy. Right?”

This big, gruff biker was too much. “Yes. I am.”

Hades looked relieved. “Good. That’s good.”

“You know, I think this is the most awkward conversation we’ve ever had.”

“Agreed.”

“It trumps the time I had to go to you when my period started.”

He groaned. “Don’t remind me.”

“Congratulations. You have a daughter. This is only going to get more awkward and emotional.”

“Fuck,” Hades cursed. “Please tell me we aren’t going to discuss your sex life.”
