She cleared her throat, glancing around. From what she could see, they were the only four in the room. She felt a little relief. For most people, it would’ve heightened their fear. Not Cleo. She needed confirmation. Cleo glanced over to Dante, who remained close to the exit.

“Is Ace or Wraith here?”

“No.”

She drew in a breath and sent a silent thank you to a higher power. There was still hope that she could make it home safely without any of the club, especially Wraith, finding out about her little adventure.

“You seem relieved,” Trey said.

And you seem observant, Trey. Dammit!

Cleo didn’t know the full extent of their relationship with the club. She knew the basics. Rogue and Trey, along with Oz, ran the Underground. Most people in the business worked under them. Except Killcreek, who worked for Inez. Cleo may not know a lot, but she was well-versed in the hostile animosity Rogue had for Killcreek. The club would be furious knowing he’d been here without them being present.

She could play it off. None of these men in the room knew her well. Surely, they wouldn’t read through her lies.Right?

“No.” She laughed, brushing her hand through her hair and hooking it over her ear. “J-just curious.”

“Hmmm…” Rogue lifted his cigar to his lips, taking a puff. “I’m fucking curious too. They know you’re here?”

What were the odds that they would actually check with Killcreek? As far as she knew, Rogue hated the club. She didn’t think Trey was much of a fan. Besides, they had no ties to her. If they believed Cleo, this would end here with Killcreek none the wiser. Cleo inhaled a breath and mustered up as much confidence as she could gather.Be convincing.

“I’m pretty sure I mentioned it to them.”

Trey dragged his hand over his jaw and subtly shook his head while Dante rolled his eyes and folded his arms. Rogue had an entirely different response.

He eyed her while taking a drag from his cigar. The smoke billowed around his face, and the corner of his eyes crinkled with a slow smile emerging. “I’m pretty fucking sure you didn’t.”

Yep, this night was definitely a mistake.

****

Wraith arched his back, stretching his arms above his head. The ride home had been too long. They’d been scheduled to leave earlier, but with the delays, they hadn’t gotten on the road until after seven. The only place he wanted to be was the clubhouse in his bed. Instead? He glanced around the strip club and shook his head.

He understood the need for his brothers to unwind, but this wasn’t his idea of entertainment. Tits, ass, and blow jobs in the back rooms?I’ll fucking pass.

Years ago he would’ve indulged, but his mind and priorities had shifted with the arrival of Killcreek’s house mouse. He glanced up at the stage watching the naked woman straddle the pole. Her long brown hair fell down her bare back, and she peered over at him with a sultry smile. To most men, she would’ve been aperfect ten. To Wraith, she didn’t even compare to the only woman he wanted.

The dancer obviously mistook his staring for interest. She dropped her heels to the floor and started off the stage steps. When she was a few feet away, he hardened his stare and shook his head. Her smile fell, and she knitted her brows but didn’t make a move to come closer.Smart fucking decision.

Wraith turned to the table. Ghost was on his phone, and Cue was watching the stage. He scanned the room for Ace and Cross but they weren’t anywhere in sight. They could’ve been in the back but they rarely partook in the activities with the strippers. They valued their privacy more than the younger brothers.

Wraith finished off his beer and stood. He’d use the bathroom and go in search of Ace before he left. It was usually an unwritten rule they all traveled in a pack, especially at night. But Wraith had enough, and he was heading home with or without the club.

He started toward the back of the room where the restrooms were located. He pushed open the door and rounded the wall, stopping at the entrance.

What the fuck?

Oak was standing on the opposite side, one hand braced on the wall and the other tangled in the hair of the stripper on her knees sucking him off. There was another topless woman caressing her hand over his ass and kissing his neck. A threesome in a public bathroom? Real fucking classy.

“You can’t get a fucking room?”

Oak glanced over his shoulder, smirking. “All full.”

Wraith rolled his eyes and made his way to the urinal. He barely had his pants unzipped when he heard the feral grunting of his brother. He’d heard everything, seen everything. This was nothing new in the lifestyle with Killcreek. Hell, he’d fucked women with others watching, dozens of times. But it was a long time ago. It no longer held the same appeal as when he was younger.

Wraith finished, zipped his pants, and walked to the sink. Thetopless girl was leaning against the wall, smiling at him with her chest jutted out.

“I’m sure I can find us a private room if you want.”
