"Alright, boys, Data thinks there are heat signatures at the back of the building. Tread quietly, we don't want them to know we're here until we are on top of them," Nitro tells us, and then indicates for us to follow him.

As we make our way double-file toward the back of the building, we're carrying guns. We don’t use them often, we don't want to get caught with them, but tonight we figured we'd need them. As we head further in, we can hear raised voices. We can't hear what they are saying, but I can definitely hear my girl and a man. I swear to fucking god I'm going to kill them. Prez mustsense my building rage, because he stops and looks at me. "Almost there, hold it together just a little longer, brother."

I nod and blow out a breath, trying to calm myself, but the minute I hear the voices get louder, multiple people shouting at once, my stress levels increase. And then we hear it, a single gunshot rings out through the entire warehouse. I'm done, I break out into a run, my brothers hot on my heels, and I burst through the door at the end.

My heart sinks when I see her at the back of the room, beaten, bloody and bruised. A gun in her hand, trained on her uncle as he kneels next to her aunt on the floor, a gunshot wound to her shoulder. Neither of them are a threat, not right now. My brothers make their way over to them as I race over to my girl.

She barely even notices me. "Dragonfly, I'm here, baby. I've got you, give me the gun," I tell her. She doesn't take her eyes off her aunt and uncle, and she's shaking. I gently place my hand over hers, closing my fingers around the gun as I slowly pull it out of her hands. She doesn't resist, just lets go and drops her hands. I put the safety on her gun and then mine and drop both to the floor next to me.

"Dragonfly," I call out to her, my hands gently cupping her face and slowly turning it a little toward me. She winces in pain, so I stop moving her and kneel in front of her, my hands cupping her cheeks. "Dragonfly, I'm here, baby. I've got you." Her eyes slowly move to mine, and the moment she sees me, she crumbles.

Her body heaves through sobs, and tears stream down her face. "Thank you. I didn't think I'd ever see you again. I didn't think you'd come," she cries out.

"I'll always come for you, Dragonfly. I will always find you."

Chapter Seventy-Three

I hold on to her hand as the doc checks her over. We've been back at the clubhouse for an hour. Mason knows she’s here, but she's asked for him to not see her until she's been cleaned up.

"Ice, I can do my job so much better if you just let go of her for two seconds, please," Doc states.

"No," is the only thing I say to him. If he thinks that I'm letting go of her, then he's fucking crazy.

"Babe, please." Nova turns to me. "Why don't you go check to make sure that the guys have secured my aunt and uncle." It wasn't a question; she wants me to leave. I look at her and shake my head.

"I don't want to leave you, baby," I tell her honestly.

She leans forward and gives me a kiss, which I reciprocate gently, I don't want to hurt her any more than she already is. "I'm okay, I promise. But Doc does need to check me over and you're kind of making it a little harder for him. Besides, I'd feel much better knowing that you were down there watching them."

I cup her face. "Baby, you know what we’re going to do with them, don't you?" I ask her.

She nods at me, her eyes glassing over a little before she shakes it off. "Yeah. And I should probably tell you to hand them over to the cops, but I know they can't be trusted. At least this way I know they’ll never be able to hurt Mason ever again. I know he'll be safe, and I won't have to worry about them."

"It also means you’re safe too," I tell her. She just nods and smiles, then indicates toward the door for me to leave. She's leaving no room for argument, so I don't bother. I place a kiss on her forehead and leave Doc to take care of her. I know she's safe with him.

As I walk into our ‘kill room’, I see Wrath give her uncle a dig in the kidneys. He coughs as he swings in the ropes we have him strapped up in. I smile as I step forward.

"You want to take over, brother?" Wrath asks me.

I shake my head. "Nah, you keep going. I'm going to go check on our other guest,” I tell him. As I walk through the partition door, I roll my eyes when I hear her aunt begging for mercy. She's a fucking fool if she thinks she'll get any here.

"You can't do this to me, my husband is a police officer. I'm a woman," she yells.

"Your husband is scum, he's a fucking dirty cop, as dirty as they come. And I don't fucking care if you're a woman. Did you or your husband give a shit when you were beating kids?" Tongue responds, not as casually as he normally would. He likes Nova and Mason, he seems to have some sort of bond with them, one that the rest of us will never understand.

She looks over at me, her eyes pleading. I walk over to the table and take a seat on the chair next to it. Crossing my ankle over my knee, I hold out my hand toward Tongue, indicating for him to carry on. He smiles and then takes another swing at her stomach.

Forty minutes in and I'm bored. I'm tired of her fucking wailing and begging. I've let Tongue take his time with her, but I've barely even noticed what he's done. All I care about is that she gets what she deserves, and by the looks of her, she has. She's covered in cuts, and her body is losing a significant amount of blood.

I stand from the chair, grabbing a knife off the table and making my way over to her. She watches me as I stop in front of her. "You spent years torturing Nova and Mason. You spent years treating them like shit after you and your husband had their parents killed. You'll never be able to hurt anyone ever again.” I take a step toward her and slide the knife directly into her heart. It only takes a few seconds for her to lose consciousness, and a few seconds after that she takes her last breath.

I turn, handing the knife to Tongue and walking back into the other room, where Roger still hangs, his body bruised from the beating Wrath has given him.

"You're going to pay for this. I'm going to ruin you," Roger spits at us.

Wrath rolls his eyes and walks over to the table. He's contemplating what weapon to choose. While he does that, I step up to her uncle. "Who’s going to make us pay then?" I ask.

He actually fucking laughs at me. "You'll find out, don't worry," he spits at me.
