I could barely hear Sophie’s words above the thud of the heartbeat reverberating in my head.

“Sure.” Roisin sounded surprised. “I’ll catch up with Liam later.” She pulled herself out of the pool.

Three seconds later and Sophie was wrapping her arms around my neck, pushing her tits to my chest and my dick was wondering very loudly where her hand had gone.

“I think we can rock this faux marriage thing.” I had no idea how I managed to form the words.

She smiled, far too sweetly. “When’s the last time you had a girlfriend?”

I stared at her, painfully aware of how blank the look was, my hands back on her arse, pressing fingertips underneath the material.

“A long time ago.”Never really.

“You have a lot to fucking learn.”

Sophie

To think was to act.

Everyone else had cleared off somewhere. I’d lost track of the different activities that were meant to be happening and what Lainey had planned and who Seph was trying to annoy – he usually aimed for two of his siblings a day.

It was just me and Liam. And his hand that was in my bikini bottoms and toying anywhere apart from where I wanted him to be. His cock was hard under my hand and reminding me that I hadn’t had sex in months. I was a cat desperate to get to the catnip in a bag.

“This is probably one of the most stupid things I’ve done.” I didn’t consider the words before or after they were said, my mouth was too busy landing on his. Liam sat back on the shelf that had been cut into the pool and positioned me so I was straddling his lap, his hand still on my ass, his finger still playing and I knew the wetness down there wasn’t just due to the water.

His other hand had risen to my breast, cupping one and pinching my nipple, a hard pull that made me moan into his mouth. There was a lingering thought that this was a bad idea. I didn’t like the man, yet I was prepared to go into business with him. I found him arrogant, cold, and yet here I was with my hand still rubbing his dick and him about to finger me in a public pool.

I had never been known for making good choices. Fuck it and deal with it later.

His mouth pulled away from mine. “We either stop or take this somewhere else.”

He had a point.

“Think we should get this out of our system?”

He’d moved his hand so his thumb was pressing on my clit. I wasn’t that long off having my first non-self-induced orgasm in far, far too long and that was the reason I was almost humping him, trying to encourage his fingers some place other than where he was teasing.

It was nothing to do with having any attraction to him. He was just the wrong person at the right time.

His hands shifted away from me suddenly. “Rules. This is once. Get it out of our system. Nothing comes of it. Then we agree terms.”

“We pretend we’re in love. We get married.”

“Have an amicable divorce.”

“Because we both want that building.”

There was a pause. His hands gripped my hips, fingers digging. “I’ll be in my room. I’ll leave the door unlocked. It’s up to you. But if you turn up, it changes nothing.”

We still hate each other.

I managed to pull myself off him and climb out of the pool, feeling his eyes studying every inch of my skin. I stopped and looked at him, now half out of the water, droplets trickling down his chest. There was a scattering of hair across his pecs, enough to tell me that he didn’t have the time or the inclination to wax it. Tattoos covered both arms, detailed drawings graffitiing over his biceps and in towards his chest. It was only now I let myself properly look. Just like he had done.

“You sure you’re not going to be waiting with the door locked. Isn’t this just another game?”

His eyes flashed at my words.
