Our mouths clashed, and her hips moved against me, chasing friction.
I broke the kiss just long enough to find her eyes. “Now... tell me again how there’s nothing between us.”
Chapter Thirty-One
Audrey
“I lied,” I whispered. “I don’t just feel something. I feeleverything.” The most honest words I’d said in years. Raw and unfiltered.
Now I had to wait for him to react. To show me he heard me.
He didn’t speak. Just stared at me like he was seeing through every wall I’d ever built—like he recognized the fear in my honesty because he carried the same fear.
The air was thick from what he didn’t say, and then he swallowed.
And just like that, the tension shattered.
His mouth covered mine, taking hold of my bottom lip. No hesitation and no holding back.
“Panties,” he growled. “What color lace?” He pulled back, eyes fierce and burning with lust.
I found the strength to be bold. To not back down and hide inside a shell of shyness. “Why don’t you find out for yourself?”
His brows drew tight, chest rising sharply. He murmured something in Spanish that slid like velvet down my spine.
“There’s no lock,” he said with a wicked glint in his eyes.
“There’s no door.” And I didn’t care. I hadn’t felt this free since the last time I performed onstage.
“Problem is ...” He leaned in, lips grazing my jaw. “I don’t want to just look.”
“So tell me. What do you want?” I needed him to say it, to let his words crawl over my skin and burrow deep.
He slid the back of his hand down my arm, slow and reverent. “I want to touch you. Taste you. Make you feeleverything.” His mouth brushed my ear. “I want you to know how much I ...”
How much you what?I threaded my fingers through his hair and whispered, “Be reckless with me. Just for a minute.” I lightened my tone, teasing, “No door. No lock. No problem.”
His breathy laugh tickled the side of my neck. “That minute worth getting caught?”
“No.” I swallowed. “Yes?”
He leaned back, studying me like he was strategizing the best way to make me come without losing his mind.
His gaze raked down my body, his thumb a gentle whisper across my bottom lip. “You need to get off.”
“I know,” I said with a laugh.
He grinned. “No, I mean off the piano.”
“Ohhh.” I slid down from the Yamaha and landed straight into his arms.
“This is risky. You sure?”
“I need you touching me more than I need anything right now,” I admitted. “And there’s no one I’d rather risk it with.”
He nodded. “I’m going to lower your pants now. That okay?”
“Yes, please.”
