PinksPosies&Pearls:But I didn’t know her.
You’ve known your dad your whole life.
I don’t think you’re feeling sorry for yourself
by mourning what you’ve lost.
I think that’s the hardest part of
losing a loved one this way — you grieve twice.
You mourn the loss of the person they were, the parent you had.
And then you grieve all over again once they’re gone.
I hope your visit with your daughter is excellent.
And for the record, I have 2 younger stepsisters??
PinksPosies&Pearls:but they’re a LOT younger so I don’t know if it counts
I know there’s nothing I can do to actually help anything,
but Icandistract you.
I got approval from my new city to open a business
and construction started like 5 minutes later.
And! If that wasn’t bad enough,
they’re making me train with another location.
So when I’m not in someone else’s business,
I’m driving to someone else’s business.
PinksPosies&Pearls:And if I’m not sitting in gridlocked city traffic,
I’m meeting with the architect and contractor.
I’ve been here two weeks and I’m still living out of boxes.
I thought I was going to have a social life once I moved;
I barely get to sleep.
Eh? How’s that? Need more distractions?

“Don’t worry about a thing. She and I had a long talk a few months ago about what she would like — when you were here for your sister’s wedding consultation, remember? I have it all written down. There’s no need for you to pick anything up, we’ll take care of all of everything. And please accept my condolences, Torvah. I’m so very sorry for your loss.”
