Mack: I FOUND A WEDDING.
Dean: Mm what?
Mack: To crash. We must crash a wedding. My aunt is in town, and I went to see her at her hotel, and there is a big event there tonight. I’ve seen the signs! I also stalked their wedding website, and it’s formal. So you gotta look good.
Dean: I always look good
Mack: yeah, yeah, yeah, fine you’re hot. Are you in, or do I need to ask Gabe?
What the fuck?
Not funny.
Dean: you devil woman.
Mack: I don’t see you saying yes. I’m going with a date. If it’s you or not…
Dean: Do you want me to bite you?
Mack: *shrug emoji*
Dean: What time?
Mack: website says it starts at seven, so want to pick me up at 6:45?
Dean: Wear something red. You look fucking sexy in red.
Dean: Never threaten me with Gabe again.
Mack: Then be a good boy
Shit. I loved spicy Mack. My spirits soared, and I eyed my watch. Only ten more hours until I could see Mack.
You’re into her for real,Luca’s words repeated back at me. I brushed them off. I was having fun, and after the mindfuck Jessica put me through, I was enjoying the moment. This didn’t have to be serious.
Nerves danced down my spine, my heart racing like it was a major play in the final quarter. I’d been to prom and all that shit. I went with a different girl every time because being a dumbass like I was, I loved bragging about that.Different girl every dance.Never caught feelings. It was such a point of pride when I was younger, but now my foolish choices made me roll my eyes.
This wasn’t a dance, but I wore my nicest suit and found a red silk pocket square in Callum’s room. I looked good. I smoothed my hands over my chest, took a deep breath, and knocked on Mack’s door. My heart was about burst in my throat as I waited. I wanted to make her pay for the Gabe comment. She told me Lo wasn’t home, so it wouldn’t be weird, and I knew that was a conversation I had to have soon. However, tonight was about me and Mack and the Summer Playbook.
The doorknob twisted, the wind brushed the hair on the back of my neck, and I tensed, waiting to see her. The sun hit just right off her hair so the blonde streaks looked angelic with the fun colors at the bottom showing her true personality. She wore a deep red dress that dipped low in the front, the fabric hugging her round tits. Her long, toned legs peeked out of the slit in the dress, and her toes even matched the red. I scanned her up, stopping on the red gems in her ears and the red on her lips.
She lookeddelectable.
“Jesus, Mallinson. You went all out.”
“It’s not every day I crash a wedding, Romano. If we get caught, I’m looking good while I do it.” She smirked andstepped closer to me, her perfume surrounding me. She smelled like cookies and sex, a weird combination, but it was incredible.
“What I like best about this dress is this spot right here.” I ran a finger over her exposed collarbone. “Remember what I said about your comments about Gabe?”
“You going tomarkme, Dean?” Her eyes sparkled at me. “Do it then.”
“Ah, you’re in a fun mood tonight. Saucy. I like it.” I walked into her, putting a hand at the base of her spine and backing her up into her apartment. Once the door shut, I lowered my nose along her neck. “You smell fucking good.”
“So do you.” She dug her nails into my neck, holding onto my shoulders as I nipped the spot at the base of her ear. She wiggled against me, and I used the movement to wrap her legs around me.
She was so strong, and her thighs clenched as I wrapped them around my waist. “Mackenzie, I’m marking you, and you’ll take it.”
Her response was to arch her back, giving me more access to her neck. It was an open invitation, all her smooth skin laid bare for me. I dragged my tongue from her neck to the center of her throat. Then I inhaled, breathing her in. The scent of her drove me crazy. The glorious combination of sweat and spice, it made me think irrational, wild thoughts. Like how I would never get sick of this smell or her or her body.
