“You’re going in the wrong direction.”

Faith looked where she was headed and sighed. “I have always been bad with directions. That’s why my parents allowed me to get a cell phone earlier than when they had planned so I could use stuff like Google Maps, and they could locate me whenever I got lost.”

“Did that happen a lot? You getting lost?”

“More times than I would have liked.”

He chuckled as he directed her. “It’s this way back to the dome.”

She hesitated for a moment. Should she try to make a run for it?

“Don’t try to escape. There are human soldiers and my warriors out there who would catch you easily, and I wouldn’t want you to be injured. Also, there is nowhere you could go that I wouldn’t find you.”

Shivers raced down her spine at his words. “Are you threatening me?”

He moved toward her, but she was frozen in place and couldn’t step away. She watched as he lifted his hand to her cheek and gently touched her with his fingertips. It tingled where his skin met hers. His eyes darkened, and she had to wet her now dry lips.

“I would do nothing to harm you, Faith. I am an honorable male.”

She held her breath, wondering if he would kiss her. When he dropped his hand and moved past her, she sighed with disappointment. Damn that sexy alien. He was too hot for his own good. Accepting that she had no other choice, she followed him.

“So why are you here on Earth? Picking up more slaves?”
