I let out a long breath and smiled at him. “I'm fine.”
“Are you sure?” Gage asked as he turned around in the front passenger seat.
Garret turned off the car and looked back as well.
“I don't know how to have sex with three men!” I blurted.
They stared at me for several tense moments.
“Neither do I,” Gideon said.
My lips twitched. I looked at the other two. Then we burst out laughing together. What was the greatest relief was that they knew where I was emotionally and what I wanted tonight to mean for us. I thought they did, but we hadn't talked about it, and without the words, I wasn't sure. Now, I was sure we were on the same sexy page.
“Let's get inside,” Gideon said. “One thing's for certain; none of us want it to happen in the car.”
“A logistical nightmare,” Gage muttered and got out of the truck.
“He's not wrong.” Garret got out next.
Gideon and I looked at each other.
“Well, if it's just you and me, there's plenty of room.” He waggled his brows at me.
I snorted and got out.
“Rejected,” he muttered as he got out.
The banter was just what I needed. I think we all needed it. When we got inside the house, we didn't head straight upstairs. Instead, we went into one of the living rooms, the one with my favorite fireplace. It was hand-carved marble, the designs featuring playing puppies and what I think were pomegranates. Yup, pomegranates and puppies. But they worked. I sat down on the rug before the fireplace while Garret lit the logs. Gideon and Gage made us drinks at a sideboard. And then we were sipping strong alcohol and staring at raging flames, trying to figure out how to start.
“What do you like?” Gage finally asked.
I looked at him in surprise. “Sexually?”
“Yeah. We've never talked about it.”
“I rarely have to.”
“We don't have to either, but I thought it might be, I don't know, helpful. We've never done this before, Indie. I mean, we've had sex, of course. We've been looking for our mate for a long time, and sex is the easiest way to tell. But we've never been so sure about a woman that we've taken her to bed together.”
“You're sure?” I asked. “You think it's me?”
Garret scowled. “You don't?”
I bit my lower lip.
“Son of a bitch,” Gage muttered.
“Do you think that's an appropriate curse for you?” I asked. “You know, considering what your other form is.”
Gideon chuckled.
Garret rolled his eyes.
Gage glared at me. “Why do you want to do this if you're uncertain?”
I looked away.
“Indie,” Garret said gently.
