Michael gave me a playful shove toward the entrance. “You’d better get in there. Tell Billy, or whoever has Henry, that I’ll be right in. And thanks for hearing me out.”
“Thanks for wanting to clear the air,” I replied. “I feel a lot better about how things ended now.”
I spent the rest of the day with my thoughts spiraling out of control. Now that I didn't hate Michael, I was even more conflicted about where I belonged.

In the grandscheme of things, a week was no time at all. But still being in the honeymoon phase of our relationship, it was torture spending six nights alone. Danny swore I didn't need to pick him up from the airport when he flew back from Harmony Grove, but I couldn't stand the thought of not seeing him the second he stepped off the plane. Luckily, I still had plenty of accrued personal time so my boss didn’t complain when I told him I needed to take the day off.
I parked in the short-term ramp, then rushed to baggage claim as soon as my phone notified me that Danny’s plane had landed. Time dragged on while I waited for the passengers from his flight to start making their way toward the exit. As soon as I saw his baggy jeans and obnoxiously loud Vans, I rushed over to the bottom of the escalator.
It seemed I wasn't the only one who was anxious for our reunion. He skipped the last two steps and ran straight to me. He threw his arms around my neck and wrapped his legs around my waist as he started peppering kisses all over my face. “I told you I could take a rideshare home so you didn't have to leave work early.”
The hard bulge against my stomach, and the way he rocked gently against me, betrayed his argument. When I cupped my hands under his ass to support him, he groaned softly.
“And it's my prerogative to decide you're wrong and I'm right.” I set Danny back on the ground and laced my fingers through his. He shook out his leg, drawing my attention to just below his belt. “Were you a good boy?”
“Blake,” Danny hissed, drawing my name out a few extra syllables. “You can't say things like that when we’re around all these people.”
I let go of Danny's hand and slid my arm around his back, pulling him close. I nipped his ear, eliciting a whimper from my boy. “Does it make you horny to think about someone overhearing how turned on you are after not being allowed to play with yourself for a week?”
“You know damn well it does,” he grumbled. When he tried to escape my embrace, I held him tighter.
This was going to be way too much fun.
I escorted him to the carousel where we’d collect his luggage and positioned myself so my neglected cock pressed against his ass. I tried to keep things as PG as possible, not wanting either of us to get in trouble for indecent exposure. He leaned against my chest, tipping his head to the side so my mouth was right by his ear. “The good news for you is we’ll take it off as soon as we get home. I’ve missed playing with you.”
“Where are we going?” His body tensed as he waited for my answer.
“Do you need to go back to your apartment for anything?” The time we'd spent apart made me more certain than ever that I needed to find a way to ask Danny to move in with me. Spending nights alone when one of us had to travel was one thing, but if we were in the same town, I wanted his body curled up against mine.
“Not as long as I can use the washer and dryer. I didn’t want my mom doing my laundry, so I might have lied and told her I did it the other night.”
“It’s not good to lie,” I teased him. It was actually sweet that he hadn’t wanted her feeling like she needed to send him home with clean clothes. And I was proud of him for asserting his independence and not letting her take care of his every need. None of that meant I wasn’t going to use his confession to my advantage. “I might need to spank you for that.”
“Blake, stop!” He took my hand in his, guiding my fingers closer to his waistband. I gave his fingers a squeeze. I fucking loved knowing that he was already losing his mind with arousal. Blake glared up at the screen and huffed. “How long does it take them to get our bags off the plane?”
“Patience, baby. Neither of us have anywhere to be tonight and I already ordered dinner,” I informed him. “As soon as I know you’re well fed, we have the rest of the night to make up for lost time.”
“We could skip dinner,” Danny suggested.
“Not a chance.”
Danny jumped when the buzzer sounded and the carousel started. He bounced his legs as he stared at the chute, waiting for his bag to appear. When it did, I was surprised he didn’t throw himself onto the carousel to retrieve it. “There. Now we can go home.”
“I ought to make you wait for being so pushy,” I teased as we walked to the car. “And while we eat, you can tell me all about your trip.”
Even though we’d talked every morning and almost every night, I wanted to hear everything he hadn’t already shared with me. I was especially curious to hear more about him talking with his ex. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous when he admitted he and Michael had spent part of yesterday together, but it was important to him that he close that chapter of his life so he could move on. When I’d asked if he wanted to talk about it, he let out a nervous laugh and told me it was something that would be better discussed in person.
Okay, so maybe part of the reason I took today off was because that non-answer led to a restless night. I’d tried telling myself there was nothing to worry about, but the uncertainty led to my brain kicking into overdrive. The sliver of insecurity I tried hiding from the world, insisted I wouldn’t be able to relax until Danny was safely back in my arms. Now that he was here, I hoped he’d trust me enough to explain whatever he couldn’t tell me over the phone.
After hefting Danny’s bag into the car, I shoved him against the trunk deck, crushing my lips against his. My hands worked their way from his shoulders to his ass, as if trying to memorize every contour of his body. His hips bucked against mine, the hard plastic of his cage a glaring reminder of just one reason I couldn’t let things get out of control while we were in the parking garage.
That didn’t stop me from reaching down to give his confined dick a quick tug. Danny’s entire body sagged against mine and he dug his teeth into my collarbone to keep from crying out. “I missed you so much, Sir.”
“I missed you, too.” I combed my fingers through his hair as I took a step back. “Let’s take this someplace a bit more private so I can show you exactly how lonely I’ve been without you on the other side of my bed.”
