A steady stream of precum slicked the way for his hand as he jerked me off. He cleared his throat when I tried to return the favor. “Hands to yourself and look straight ahead.”
“I’m not the one driving,” I pointed out.
My back bowed and my hips arched off the seat when his response was to jerk me even faster. I’d gotten used to waiting for permission to come, but there was no way I’d make it to my apartment.
“Please, Sir! I’ll do whatever you want if you let me come now,” I pleaded. Sweat trickled down my cheeks from the effort it took to hold back.
“Anything?”
I should have been wary of the glint in his eyes and the way he licked his lips, but I was too far gone to care.
“Anything,” I repeated as I started fucking into his fist. “It’s too much, Sir. You haven’t let me come in two days.”
“And why is that?”
It wasn’t a coincidence that two days ago was when I got the invitation to my grandparents’ anniversary party and started thinking about the past. There was no way Michael wouldn’t show up there just to make me miserable. We were from a small town where everyone knew everyone else, and that meant the older generation were all close.
“Because I didn’t tell you what was on my mind,” I mumbled. I knew it was wrong, but it took me until this morning to work up the courage to tell him what I needed.
“And now that you did?” Blake pressed his thumbnail into my slit, chuckling when my entire body tensed and I hissed at the pain. “You know you just have to open up to me and I’ll take care of you.”
“I know that now, Sir,” I promised.
I was so focused on holding back my orgasm that I barely noticed where we were. Blake slowed before turning into the parking lot behind my building. My entire body heaved with a sigh of relief when he parked.
“Shall we go upstairs so I can reward you for your good behavior today?” Blake carefully tucked my aching cock into my jeans and covered it with my t-shirt. When he rounded the car and opened my door, he said, “I’m almost disappointed you were able to hold back. I had so many ideas of what I could do to you to make you regret promising to do anything I wanted.”
“I meant it, Sir,” I assured him as he led me to the back door. “I know you’d never hurt me. And I really didn’t think I’d be able to wait to come.”
“No, but you did because it’s what I expected from you.” He held the door open and ushered me in. The entire way up the stairs, his hand never left the small of my back. When we reached the landing, he spun me to face him and pinned me to the wall. “I know this might not be the most romantic place, but I need you to know I love you, too, Danny. You’re so much more than I ever expected, and your submission is the greatest gift I’ve ever received.”
“That’s because you make it easy, Sir.” No, it wasn’t always easy, but that was because of the demons I still needed to slay.
I held my head higher and squared my shoulders as he unlocked my apartment. This was yet another new beginning for us.

The boxin my hand weighed almost nothing, and yet I was acutely aware of it as I waited for Danny to walk out the back door. He’d worked a day shift today, trying to get as many hours as possible so his paycheck wouldn’t be short because of the days he was taking off.
I wasn’t thrilled about him flying to the Midwest on his own, but I hadn’t been about to invite myself along. If he wasn’t ready for me to meet his family, I’d respect his decision. Instead, I planned on making sure he carried a reminder of me everywhere he went.
I just hoped this wasn’t the step too far.
Danny’s face lit up as soon as he spotted me at the edge of the parking lot. I stepped out of the car and barely had time to brace myself before he jumped into my arms. His mouth crashed against mine, his tongue demanding entrance past my lips. He ground his hard length against me, whimpering when I swatted his ass.
“Damn, sweetheart. If that’s the way you greet me when I don’t pester you at work, consider me a changed man.”
Danny rolled his eyes. “It’s not that and you know it. It was weird not seeing you, but it probably would have raised a few eyebrows if you were sitting at the end of the bar while I did inventory. Is it weird to say I already miss you? How am I supposed to get through almost a week without seeing you at all?”
I thought about the box that sat on the console in my car. Would he love it or hate it? There wasn’t much time to find out, so I threaded my fingers through his. “It’s not like you’re going to be in the middle of nowhere without cell service.”
“You’re only right about half of that,” he grumbled. “Seriously, there are probably more people living within a mile of here than my entire town. It’s podunk USA.”
“Then it’s a good thing you’ll be talking to me every morning when you wake up and every night before you go to bed,” I reminded him. “And if that’s not enough, I have a present for you in the car.”
Danny’s eyes lit up when he saw the package. We’d see if he was still eager once he’d opened it. “You have to quit spoiling me.”
