“No, I’m very serious.”
I blink a few times, trying to get my thoughts in order. He’s fucking with me. He has to be.
“But since you’re here now, let’s get a drink.”
He tugs my arm again, and I’m too stunned to fight him off, so he leads me to the bar. Also, I guess I could use another drink. Especially one I’m not paying for. And I didn’t have to ask or get him hard. Fucking win.
I hang back while he squeezes through the crowd and returns a moment later with two drinks.
“Thanks,” I say begrudgingly.
“What the fuck are you guys doing?” Andre says, stopping in front of us. I hold my drink up in response. “Fuck yeah.” He gives me a fistbump, then pushes through me and Alex to get to the bar.
“So, you wanna dance?” Alex asks, looking at me suggestively. The way his grin lights up his green eyes is equal parts annoying and intriguing. His cockiness is so aggravating sometimes. No, it’s aggravating all the time.
God, what the fuck is in this damn drink?
“Not a fucking chance,” I grumble, moving back toward the VIP section. When we get to the next club, I’m going off on my own the moment we get there.
“But I bought you a drink,” he complains.
“You want it back?” I shove it at him. He eyes it, then me. “I’m not one of the cheap whores you’ve been dancing with all night who will take a drink in exchange for rubbing up on your dick.”
His eyes widen, then he smirks and takes a long sip of his drink from the straw.
“Hey, ladies!” Alex says to the girls who are sitting with Paul and Andre. They smile at him in return.
He’s so fucking dumb. How does he expect people to take him seriously when he acts like this? Does he even get laid at all? He needs someone to set him straight. Liketo really fuck him good and put him in his place so he can learn how to shut his mouth. It’s obvious he was not disciplined as a child, so someone needs to discipline him as an adult.
I grit my teeth when I realize, once again, I’m having inappropriate thoughts about Alex fucking Brewer. Christ, I’m a mess.
“Oh, hey,” I say when Hailey walks by with her friend. “Wanna join us?”
She looks at her friend, who nods. Hailey gives me a smile. “Sure.”
The friend drops into the spot beside me, and I scoop Hailey onto my lap as she tries to get by me.
“This okay?” I ask.
That shy smile is back in place, and I feel Alex’s glare from here.
“Yeah,” she says, while her friend looks at me with hearts in her eyes.
Chapter Eight
Alex
“Get off the fucking table, Alex!” Mack growls, swatting at my legs. After two clubs and countless drinks, I’m feeling too good to give a shit what Mack or anyone else thinks.
Hailey, Stacey, and Lacy all giggle, the motion making their breasts bounce.
“No,” I say, sticking my tongue out at him. His cheeks are six shades of red, and I’m not all that certain if it’s from the alcohol or because Hailey has been sucking the literal oxygen out of him.
Seriously, I’m pretty sure she’s had her tongue down his throat for the last hour. Most people would think he’s into it, but I swear he’s cringing.
Lacy, the cute blonde who’s been sucking down my drink offerings all night clasps her hands together in excitement.
“The girls want a show; they’re gonna get a show,” I say, kicking at Mack’s hand.
