Maybe all I needed was a little shove in the right direction, but… My gaze, for some stupid fucking reason, goes back to Alex.
Who is now watching me with a stern gaze. He looks almost pissed, but I have no idea why.
Don’t care either.
I get to my feet. “Thanks,” I say to the girl before walking over to the one from the bar.
“Hey,” I say when I reach her.
“Hi,” she says so softly I almost can’t hear her over the club music. “I told her not to talk to you.”
I shrug, sipping my drink. “I’m glad she did. Where are you from?”
“Indiana.”
“Girls’ weekend?”
“Yeah, one of my friends is getting married.”
“Well, shit. Mine too.” I huff out a laugh.
“You’re just saying that.” She giggles.
“No, I swear. My friend Austen is getting married. There’s a bunch of us here to celebrate.”
Her smile grows as she sips her drink. We talk for a few minutes before I ask her to dance with me. When she says yes, I finish my drink and put the empty cup on a table littered with them and take her hand.
I stop at a spot where I can see Alex and he can certainly see me. I’m taller than the average person, and so even in this crowd, Istand out.
Hailey, the cute shy girl I’m dancing with, turns out to be not so shy with her body. She grinds against me like she’s some kind of stripper. I keep worrying about my dick getting hard and freaking her out, but it doesn’t happen. And then I start to panic that something is wrong with me. And then I realize that my issue is I keep looking at Alex, and obviously I’m not going to get hard while looking at him.Obviously.
Even if I have before, but none of that shit counts.
I’ve had a lot to drink, and that’s why I can’t get hard. Which is good because it’s what I’m avoiding. I don’t want to be the creepy guy in the club.
I lose sight of Alex and put my full attention on Hailey, who is dripping sweat. She’s totally the type of girl I would take home to fuck. Or try to fuck. I’m too young to have ED problems, but something’s been going on with me lately. So it’s best I don’t take her back to try to fuck her at all.
It has to be the alcohol. Too much partying, too much drinking, and my dick doesn’t work. It has nothing to do with the girls I’m bringing home because they’re all hot as fuck. The stress of school probably isn’t helping either. This is an issue I deal with enough back home, I don’t need to worry about it here too. I can have fun without fucking.
Okay, so, definitely not bringing this girl back to my hotel room. Got it.
“Hey!” someone says loudly beside me. I’d recognize that voice anywhere. “I need you for a sec,” Alex says, gripping my bicep. He looks at Hailey, smiling sweetly. “Sorry, but I need my friend for a moment.”
I roll my eyes, trying to shove him away. “Go away, Alex.”
Hailey stops dancing and watches him carefully, like she doesn’t know if she should be worried or not.
“It’s important,” he says, his eyes going slightly wide.
I groan, then look at Hailey. If I don’t give in, he won’t stop. “Sorry. I’ll be right back.”
She nods and I let Alex lead me off the dance floor.
“What the fuck do you want?” I bark, yanking my arm from his grip.
“Are you more of a silver guy or a gold guy? I’m betting gold, but I figured it’s best to ask the source.”
I gape at him for far too long, until finally I say, “Are you fucking kidding?”
