"Thank goodness, I thought you had ended the call," she says laughing.
“No, I'm still here. Listen Vanny, what happens if you skip the pill."
"It depends, why?"

"On how many have you skipped."
"Let's say fourteen, or more, I think."
"Did you skip fourteen pills?" she asks in surprise. "It's not like you."
"I've been so busy that it slipped my mind, and now I've found the blister in front of me."
“I understand, the pill you take is a mild contraceptive, just to regulate your hormones. If you skip a couple of them, your body starts working at full capacity and you no longer have any coverage."

I collect my purse and keys then head out.
"Chris, take me to Vanessa please."
"Sure, let's go," he tells me opening the door. My mind is clouded, so many thoughts run through my head.
"Are you all right, Angel?" Chris asks, looking at me in the rearview mirror and I nod. I can't lie and he already knows that something is wrong, but he doesn't say anything, he drives to our destination in silence even if he looks at me from time to time.
I have a thousand questions, a thousand thoughts that swirl in my head. I don't even realize that Chris has already parked in front of Vanessa's studio.
"Do you want me to come inside with you?"
"No ... yes ... I don't know."
“Okay, now breathe. What happens?"
"Come in with me, but Chris, this stays between us."
