"I didn't misspell anything," I say, annoyed, but then I notice that I really did. I just don't want to give him the satisfaction of being right.

"Yes, you did, and you know it."

"Ok, okay, I did, but because you distracted me."

"Me?"

"Yes, you."

I try to focus on the laptop when he turns to me, staring at me shamelessly.

"What can I do for you, Nate?"

"So many things, babe,” he whispers with a sensual voice that sets me on fire. Seeing my expression, he starts to laugh. "Why were you in Melbourne?"

"For work. And you?"

"Let's say to find out about a lie. What do you do?"

"Now I'm curious," I say, focusing on him.

"But you didn't answer my question."

"I'm a lawyer. I did a three-year internship at Hamley's in Melbourne while graduating, and now I'm going back to London. And you?"

"I’m in the army. I'm on leave, so I decided to go home."

"So you just got back from a mission?"

He smiles. "Yes."

"I won't ask you where you were because you certainly won't be able to tell me."

"You’re well informed. Do you have any relatives in the army or perhaps a boyfriend?"

"Is that a nice way to ask me if someone will be waiting for me at the airport?"

"Hmm, yeah, that too," he says.

"Surely my father will have sent his driver. I don't have time for boyfriends. I prefer to focus on my work."

"And that's a nice way to tell me you wouldn't come and have coffee with me?"

"Yep."

"Oh, come on, we slept together."

"What? No, we didn't sleep together, Nate." My voice is a mix of amazement and disbelief that he made such a joke.

“A coffee. I'm not asking you for much. Let's say to repay me for the fact that you used me as a pillow. "

I open my mouth to speak, but no sound comes out. Getting lost in his eyes makes my heart beat madly. What have you got to lose? A coffee wouldn’t hurt anyone.

I'm about to argue and I know that's what he wants. The conversation amuses him and makes me blush. I must say, talking to him is interesting. Much more than I would like to admit.

You want to play, Nate? So, let's play.

"How about dinner instead?" I ask him playfully. His smile makes me melt.
