The mass begins but I can't follow much, both because Logan looks at me intensely and because I feel a few pangs.
When we exchange the rings saying our “I do”s, I am on the verge of tears. The avalanche of emotions that I feel is so intense.
When we kiss, our comrades in arms starts applauding and whistling.
We go out of the church to take some pictures and then head to Sundeck.
In the limousine, Nellie takes off my veil and Logan holds me in his arms. I take this opportunity to change my shoes with white converse with burgundy rhinestones, chosen by Angel.
At the Sundeck, everything proceeds wonderfully and the lunch is heavenly. We choose to cut the cake taking advantage of the beautiful light coming from the window and then we perform our first dance on the notes of the song Amazed by Lonestar.
I begin to felt some twinges and I squeeze Logan's hand.
“What's wrong, Kate?”
“I need to sit down, now” I was almost out of breath.
He picks me up without hesitation and we head towards our table catching the attention of the guests. He sits me down and kneels in front of me.
“Love, is everything all right?”
“I don’t know. This morning I felt a few pangs and now they’re even more intense.“
Max approaches worried.“Kate, you’re okay??”
“Max, get me the doctor right away, she should be on the dance floor, she says she’s feeling some pangs.”
“Be right back,”I saw him running away.
Logan gives me a glass of fresh water and I drink it willingly. Another fairly bearable twinge arrives as the doctor approaches.
“Kate, how often do you feel these pains?”
“I’ve felt a few this morning and then now we are at 4 in 10 minutes more or less.”She touches my belly.“Okay, breathe deeply. You always have the folder and suitcase with you for the hospital, right? “
“Always in the trunk as you told me.”
She smiles.“I'm sorry to spoil the party for you guys but we have to check the babies and your heartbeat, Kate. What you feel are some contractions. “
“Already?”Logan says a little scared.
“Perfect, then let's go,”says Max.
“Wait, we must warn the guests,”I wince.
Philippe and Max whistle loudly.“People, I can have your attention please, we started labor here.”Everyone starts applauding.
“Thank you, everyone, for coming, enjoy the party for us too,”I say when another twinge arrives.“I have to get rid of the dress, I'm hot,”I tell Logan.
“I'm going to get a something to change from your room. Go to the room next door, it’s empty,”Nellie says and runs away.
When we arrive in the room and take off my dress, the doctor touches my belly again and she smiles.“We anticipated a little bit but that's fine, we have to go to the hospital.”
Nellie brought me a dress.“Hold on Kate, breathe, everything will be fine.”
“Thanks, Nellie.”Another twinge comes as I put it on.
