“You’re a good student.”

They locked eyes and Harvey could sense Ravi’s happiness and Bo’s pride from across the room. For a moment, as they continued to stare at each other, it almost looked as if they were going to kiss. Harvey took a deep breath.Damn! His heart rate increased. Hewantedthem to kiss. He would have given his left nut to see Bo and Ravi in each other’s arms, to see them kissing. To see so much more. But it wasn’t only sex, just watching them be together made his heart do funny things. It was then he realised he wanted them to want each other, and he wanted them both.Fuck. Is it possible to be in love with two men at the same time?

He must have made a noise because Ravi and Bo jumped apart.

Ravi was the first to recover. “Oh, you’re home. Bo was just showing me how to make sushi. Oh my God, you should see them.”

His grin was infectious, and Harvey smiled as he crossed the room to take a look. The counter where they were working contained two big platters of sushi—rows of perfectly wrapped rolls and neat circles in front of Bo, but he couldn’t say the same for Rav’s offering. “Wow, that looks amazing.”

Ravi laughed. “They’re all wonky!”

Harvey snagged a roll from the plate. “They all taste the same in the end.” He popped the sushi into his mouth and rounded the bench, putting the champagne bottle on the countertop. “Mmm. Delicious. You can make me sushi anytime.”

“I think I need a bit more practice. Right, Bo?”

Bo nodded. “Next time we’ll try Nigiri. I think you’d like that. Little mounds of rice with raw salmon on the top.”

“You don’t eat fish,” Ravi said.

“That’s okay.” Bo shrugged. “You and Harvey like it so that’s what we’ll make.”

“Thanks. I’ll look forward to it. Hey, what are we celebrating?” Bo asked, indicating the champagne.

“Oh!” Harvey tore his gaze away from the two grinning faces, his own smile so wide he thought his cheeks would split. “Guess who’s going to Rocktoberfest in October?”

“Fuck, Harvey, that’s awesome!” Ravi was around the counter and in his arms in a moment. “Congratulations.”

“Yeah, congratulations, Harvey. That’s fantastic news,” Bo said.

“Thanks. I’m a bit in shock. We thought last year would be a one-off thing, but it seems they liked us.”

“It doesn’t hurt you that you guys are topping the charts at the moment. Your new stuff is brilliant and just what the market is looking for.” Bo’s face lit up as he spoke. “I was reading an opinion piece in World of Rock that compared HyperOctane’s sound to… sorry, I get carried away.”

Harvey laughed. “Feel free to get carried away at any time.”

“Anyway, I should let you guys get on with it. You’ve got a lot of celebrating to do.” Bo started clearing away the dishes of rice and other ingredients that had been used to make the sushi. “Give me a couple of minutes and I’ll be out of your way.”

Before Harvey could say anything, Ravi reached out a hand, placing it on Bo’s arm. “Stay.” Then he looked at Harvey as if for approval, his eyes unsure. Harvey smiled and nodded before turning to Bo.

“Please stay, Bo. It wouldn’t be the same without you.”

“You’re sure?”

“Totally. Now, you guys finish those platters and I’ll get the champagne glasses.”

Harvey took three flutes from the sideboard while the boys filled three little dishes, one with soy sauce, one with wasabi, and the final one with pickled ginger. It looked like a feast and Harvey couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate his good fortune. He hummed as he headed to the balcony where he poured the wine. The sun was starting to drop low in the sky, the shadows lengthening, and the heat from the day dissipating. He settled into one of the chairs, momentarily taking in his water view, before settling his gaze where he really wanted it to be—on the two men who were laughing in the kitchen as they covered bowls of unused ingredients and put them in the fridge.

But it wasn’t long until they joined him at the table. He passed across the flutes, and they touched glasses.

“Here’s to Harvey,”

“Here’s to Rocketoberfest.”

“Here’s to the future.”

“I think we need to talk.”

Oh God.Ravi hated the sound of those words. They took him straight back to that night a year ago when Bo had said the very same thing then proceeded to break his heart.
