Except for Arielle, she nodded her head in complete understanding.

Nita lifted her chin and growled.“Don’t you pity me.I’m not looking for that.I want justice and the way I get that is when I see them die by the violence they live by.This is purely a case of self-interest and I won’t deny that.I want to see death come up from hell to drag them to their final resting place. But knowing them they will rule the underworld with the same sense of entitlement they ruled with here. They think they are above the law and maybe that has been true but they still have to face judgement in some way, shape or form.If this is it, then so be it.I just wanted to see it with my own two eyes.”

Jep looked up from his screen and gave Bouncer a nod.“Her birth certificate is real.”Shaking his head he admitted, “And Gabriel signed it himself.I also found her change of name certificate. She changed it to Nita Rivers five years ago.”

Titus walked over and read his screen. Then he looked up at his dad and nodded.

Bouncer shook his head and asked Titus, “What’s the call here, son? You’re the president after all.”

“I suggest we all get some sleep for now.We have had a 20-hour day. Then in the morning, we will read the information Nita brought and make a plan.”

Everyone there nodded at their president’s suggestion.

Chapter Four

They all ate some dinneror due to it being 2 am...was it breakfast? Then it quieted down and everyone looked tired. They set up shifts to keep watch around the property and indoors too. Then they sent three men up to the lookout points on the mountain. The rest of them headed to their beds for a four-or-5-hour sleep.

Arielle had slept in naps for two days now and she felt beat to hell.So this rest time was a good idea.

Threading his fingers through hers, Jep led her down the hall to his room.“I hope you don’t mind, but my room has an extra couch, so I gotta bed you can sleep in.”

She seemed to snap out of her daze of fatigue as she looked up at him.“Nah, I don’t want to kick you out of your bed.”

He chuckled as he opened a door and motioned for her to head on in.“There has been no kicking.”

She went in and moved over as he closed the door.

The room was neat and uncluttered. He did have a laptop sitting on a desk and a comfy desk chair. There was a small fridge and a counter bar to sit at.She then spotted the couch and an overstuffed chair. There were a few paintings of scenery and a couple of lamps. All in all, it was a nice room.

“The bathroom is over there,” he said as he motioned toward a door. Then he sat down on the stuffed chair and took his boots off.“Make yourself comfortable, Arielle.”

She looked over at him.She loved his voice. In fact, for a couple of days now she loved his smile, the way he smelled and the kind, warm look in his eyes.

Jep was tall, about six foot four inches maybe. She again noted his blue eyes once again.Dark blue. The man was filled out like none she had ever seen.

His shoulders were broad and strong and he still had muscles rippling along his chest and arms all the way down to his flat waist and below.Raising her gaze up to his face, she paused.
