“That’s nice to hear. What part, if I may ask?”
“Beverly Hills.”
Hey, like me.
“Brandon is a Beverly Hills native. We’re not too far from there,” James offered up.
“My folks still live in the house I grew up in and my younger brother lives in L.A,” Morgan said.
“He must be a brave soul with that traffic,” James added.
“Pretty much. The traffic is much worse up in the Bay Area.”
I sat beside James so that the outside of my leg was touching his. I glanced at the coffee table and saw a notepad and pen.Just like Eli.I twisted the cap off of the water bottle and took a few gulps.
This is not Eli.
This is not his office.
This is nothing like Eli or Sebastian.
James is right here.
James will take me home.
James won’t leave me.
“So, what’s behind the two of you wanting to have some erotic photos taken?” Morgan calmly asked.
Morgan seemed pretty laid back, but I could tell he took his job seriously just based off the fact he was meeting with people to talk with them directly about what they wanted. James waited to speak in case I wanted to speak up. But when I didn’t, he answered Morgan.
Come on! Snap the fuck out of it! This was my idea in the first place! Don’t make James have to do all of this!
“Brandon was enamored by your photography here in the club,” James replied. I waited until James was done and then jumped in to elaborate.
“Yeah. I was helping Andrew hang the pictures… I mean, Andrew pretty much handed me the pictures when I was on the ladder, and I hung them.”
“Ladders get tricky the older you get,” Morgan said as he smiled. He’s not so bad.
“I couldn’t stop thinking about the photography, and I told James I’d like for us to have something like that.”
“That’s great to hear. I always love to hear that people enjoy the photography. Is there a particular picture you liked best?”
“Yeah, the one in the main room with the guy sitting back on his heels and the woman has her fingers in his hair.”
Morgan nodded as I explained.
“That’s one of my favorite ones too. All my work will mean something different to everyone, but to me, that captures the security between their dynamic. Both are secure and confident in their relationship for her to dominate and him to submit.”
He understands.
“Yeah, that’s what I’m hoping to capture.” I looked at James and smiled. “I’m hoping you can capture the depth of our relationship. The security and the confidence James has given to me.”
Morgan nodded and leaned forward to reach for his pen. He wrote “security” and “confidence” on a sheet of paper that had my name and James’ on the top.
“Even when dynamics may seem obvious to me, I still always ask.” Morgan looked at James and asked, “Are you the alpha in the relationship?”
“Yes.”
