I stayed still and let her rub her hands up and down on my back. I leaned my head down on her shoulder and could smell her coconut shampoo or lotion, whatever the fuck it was. I closed my eyes, swallowed hard, and forced my mind back to the present.

“As long as the tank top is clean,” I said jokingly.

“I’m sorry, Bran.”

“It’s okay.”

“Honestly, he’s quite easy on the eyes. Early forties, dark brown hair, fit build. He has the most incredible soft chocolate eyes.”

I laughed at her sudden change in his description.

“So, he has semi-melted chocolate chips for eyes,” I said.

“Mmm, very delectable,” Ali added.

“Pup.” Just as I was inhaling more of Ali’s coconut scent, James called me over. I joined him and Andrew by sliding right under James’ open arm.

“Want something to drink, Bran?” Andrew asked me.

“Yes, please.”

Andrew nodded and stepped away for a moment as James tugged me closer.

“You okay, pup?” He brushed his thumb over my cheek.

“Yes. I got really warm.”

“You look a little flushed.” James took the water bottle from Andrew’s hand, unscrewed the lid from the top, and handed me the bottle. “Sip.”

I did as told and listened to Andrew talk about the coffee shop to James. I heard other voices behind me and turned my head slightly to see what the people looked like. Standing closest to the hallway that led to the private rooms, three people stood by Ali. They were pointing to a calendar book as they spoke, so I assumed they were discussing the schedule. Two of them were a Dom and sub couple. It relaxed me to know that other couples were here today. The other person must be the photographer. I had to bite my lower lip so I didn’t burst out laughing at the chocolate chip eyes reference. I relaxed and turned around to face Andrew and pretend I was involved in their conversation. My pulse started to race when Andrew looked over James’ shoulder, as if someone was standing right there.

“Morgan, this is James and Brandon,” Andrew said. James took his arm off my shoulders and shook hands with Morgan.

“Hello, Morgan,” James said. As their hands pulled apart, I stretched my hand forward to shake Morgan’s hand.

“Hello,” I said.

“It’s a pleasure to meet both of you,” Morgan said.He wasn’t creepy. And he didn’t have chocolate chip eyes.“If you gentlemen are ready, I’m all set.”

James put his hand on my shoulder and looked at me.

“Ready?” he asked.

I nodded. “I’m ready.”

“Right this way,” Morgan said. We followed him past Ali and toward the first room in the hallway. “Have you guys been members here for a while?” Morgan asked as he gestured for us to walk into the room ahead of him.

I stepped into the room and walked toward the area that had been set up as a conversation area. There was a white loveseat with a sleek, modern profile and a black leather chair that matched the loveseat. Separating the loveseat and the chair was a glass coffee table.Eli. His office was always set up for conversations, and…

I turned to face James and Morgan when I heard the door shut. Morgan walked toward the single chair, and James guided me toward the loveseat.

“I’ve been a member since the club opened. Brandon hasn’t been a member quite that long,” James said, and then he laughed along with Morgan.

“Club Oxygen is an amazing club. Being back in Southern California and in this club really makes me want to consider moving back here,” Morgan said.

“Are you originally from here?” James asked.

“I am, yes. Born and raised here.”
