I wished it weren’t so late because I would have enjoyed sitting like this for longer. In fact, I wanted everything from tonight to last longer.

“I’m going to head home. Would it be alright if I text you before I go to bed to check on you?”

“Yes, I’d like that.”

“Very well. I’ll text you a little later. While your mind is running wild, make sure you think about what I said to you in the room, Andrew.”

“I will, Mistress Tabitha.”

As she left, I remained on the couch cross from James and stared at the floor, thinking. I kicked myself for not having told her that everything she said was accurate. I felt a bit guilty for not telling her. I had been trying to keep my cards close to the vest, and I hadn’t been prepared to have been so emotional tonight. When I looked up, James was staring at me.

“Did you have a good time tonight, Andrew?” he asked.

“I did. Absolutely. I hadn’t realized how much I’d missed it.” I paused to formulate my thoughts. “Mistress Tabitha is an incredible Top,” I added.

James smiled and agreed by saying, “She is. She’s one of the best I know.” James stroked Brandon’s hair and said, “Life is short, Andrew.”

I knew what he was saying. I stood and looked down at James and Brandon.

“I’m going to get going. I want to be home when she calls. I have things to tell her. Things I should have said before she left.”

“Well, you’re a spry young man. I’m sure you could probably catch her in the parking lot.”

“Not as spry as me,” Brandon quietly added.

“No, pup. No one is as spry as you.” James pulled Brandon close and kissed the top of his head as he winked at me.

I hurried out of the club and scanned the parking lot. Tabitha’s SUV was parked a few spots down from mine. She had just rounded the back end of the car beside hers, and the taillights of her SUV came to life with the push of a button on her fob.

“Tabitha!” I hollered and took off jogging toward her. She stopped and waited for me before she got into her car.

I kept my eyes on hers until mine automatically closed as I leaned in.

“Andrew, is everything—”

She didn’t get to finish her question because my lips were crushed against hers as I leaned her against her SUV. My hand wrapped around her hip as she kissed me back. I braced my other hand against the window of her SUV as the kiss consumed me. It had been so long—I didn’t even remember the last time I had felt so much passion in a kiss.

“I wanted to tell you that you were right.” I panted as I pulled apart from her lips before our mouths went at it again.

“Which part?”

“All of it,” I murmured. I poured every bit of me into that kiss.

I could feel her lips curl into a smile against mine. When we finally pulled our mouths off one another, her smile broadened.

“I knew I was. I just needed to hear you say it and believe it, Andrew,” she explained.

I smiled and leaned in for another kiss.

“I believe it. You helped me believe it. Thank you.”

“Good, Andrew. Now, I want you to go home, take a warm shower, drink some water, and relax.”

“I will. And while I’m relaxing and waiting for your call, I’ll look forward to our next session.”

“I’m so happy to hear you’d like to have future sessions with me. We’ll go slow.”

“I want the sessions, for sure. I need them.” I swallowed hard before letting my heart leap again. “I needyou.”
