Chapter Five
River
Queen Octavia’sgentlemen were eager to show me around the castle grounds after breakfast. I was looking forward to seeing every inch of this beautiful place as it truly was magical. Some paintings caught my eye as I walked down a corridor with her boys. I slowed my pace and stopped tolook.
“These are all of Queen Octavia’s family,” Ethan said as he walked back towardme.
I nodded and walked along the wall of paintings, taking note of each of the Kings and their Queens. It was remarkable that a person could be captured in such clarity with a set ofpaints.
“The Queen said that the last addition to the wall was a few years after the massacre,” Liamexplained.
“Was her portrait not added until after the massacre?” I asked as I followed the wall to where her portrait should fit in, time-wise.
I passed the Princess Octavia portrait that was grouped with her parents and came upon the Queen Octavia portrait. She was gorgeous. I flashed back to last night, recalling the way the smooth skin of her ass felt against my hand. I smiled at the pleasure I brought her. She definitively wants to be in control, but she wants it taken, I thinktoo.
A short distance away was another portrait; Sir Klyn. I swallowed hard as I stared at his regal portrait. I had to get clarification regarding hisportrait.
“All of these portraits were added shortly after the Drishane massacre?” I asked and gestured with my head towards Klyn’sportraits.
“Yes, all of them. Including, Sir Klyn’s,” Ethanconfirmed.
Klyn had been around longer than I originally thought. He also must have been partially turned the night of themassacre.
The fact that Klyn was a partial vampire, along with Octavia, occupied most of my mind while I was out with her young men. My mind shifted some from my thoughts when the guys started asking about being more dominant with the Queen. They were genuinely curious, so I gave them some helpful hints. It was not something they could put on for an evening. Either they had it, or they did not. And right now, I was not sure any of them had that in them. For sure, not Michan or Sean. I still was not certain about Liam orEthan.
It was in the woods that the gentlemen showed me that not only do they service the Queen, but also one another when the need arises. I will admit that I was a bit surprised that the guys were open to having sexual relations with one another when the Queen was not around. But, it was good to see that there are a few options for cock sucking, should the Queen leave me in a needyposition.
I was just finishing cleaning off and was in the midst of drying myself, when Octavia strolled into our cleaning quarters. She stared at each of us, but her gaze lingered on my body the longest.Go on and look, Octavia. See what separates me from your boys. See what you longfor.
“River, I would like to take you around and show you the castle,” she said as she tossed her hair back over hershoulder.
“Right now, my Queen?” I casuallyasked.
“Of course, right now. What do you think I am standing here for?” shegrilled.
She sounded as though she was getting annoyed and perhaps worried that I would embarrass her in front of her young men. I decided to lighten my tone and tease her alittle.
“Should I get dressed first?” I jokinglyasked.
“Yes, please get dressed. We do not need you distracting the staff as you frolic around naked,” shesaid.
“Yes, that would be a shame,” I murmured while looking in the direction of her smiling youngmen.
I crossed the cleaning quarters to where a clean shirt waited for me on astool.
“Young man! I will paddle that ass of yours if you cannot keep that lip of yours in line,” Octaviathreatened.
I smiled and pulled on my shirt. I did not want her young men picking up anything that she would deem disrespectful. As we began our tour, we walked along the same corridor that I had earlier with her gentlemen. Octavia began talking about some of the portraits, and I made the mistake of asking her which of her young men was herfavorite.
She took me down to the lower levels of the castle and showed me the Darick mint. I was taken aback as we descended the stairs. She walked me through the process of making the Royal Darick coins. They were the most sought after coins in all of Dreyle. As I witnessed the process firsthand, it became apparent to me why these coins could not be duplicated. Everything was done byhand.
My father wanted in this mint badly, but he could not breach the castle. Perhaps a protective curse lay in place that would prevent those with evil intentions from getting into the castle. I could not help but think about what my father would say if I handed him the exactprocess.
Would he be grateful and accept me as his son? Was this what the prophecy wasabout?
As we went outside and walked along the creek, I felt that I should apologize for a question I posed earlier to her. But I also felt as though she could laugh and have some light-heartedfun.
“It is alright, River. As I said before, I do not have afavorite—”
