TeenDad2: If I could, I’m pretty sure I'd stay pregnant forever

GlitterDoctor: That's a fate I wish on no mortal

Gwynning: I imagine it'd be worse for an immortal, Glit

GlitterDoctor: Yeah, but how many people have you run up against who don't age, Gwynn?

GlitterDoctor: We can't all be Keanu Reeves

TeenDad2: I meant like that I’d always have a baby to take care of

TeenDad2: I love all the snuggles and the milestones and seeing a new personality develop

TeenDad2: And the new baby smell :smiling face with hearts emoji:

KnotMyProblem: Newborns are sweet, I'll give you that

TeenDad2: so I'm like our new friend. I'd have a huge family

TeenDad2: But Aaron and I are going to see how this pregnancy goes and either stop here, or go for five due to finances and things

KnotMyProblem: FIVE!

KnotMyProblem: every day will be babysitting day at your house with that many kids running around

xVerity: You'll need several laser pointers.

TeenDad2: It'll be fine!

TeenDad2: I hope that answers your question

GlitterDoctor: If you're in a question answering mood, I've got something to ask you, TD

TeenDad2: Sure! What is it?

GlitterDoctor: You and Aaron…

GlitterDoctor: You're having all these kids despite the possibility they could be born with IPF

GlitterDoctor: I'm not trying to shame you, or convince you that it's a bad idea, but I wanted to know what your thought process was behind having a large family when there's the chance for hereditary disease

TeenDad2: :(

TeenDad2: It is kinda a risk, I know

TeenDad2: Bo's pulmonologist and Aaron and I had a talk about it, and what it might mean for our future children

TeenDad2: It's hard to know how high the risk is to pass on IPF, because it's not usually a disease that gets passed along genetically. Familial IPF, which is what Marshall has and what Aaron and Caleb are carriers of, is super rare. I'm not a scientist at all, but Aaron is, and so he and the doctor talked it out while I tried to listen and understand

TeenDad2: So as far as I know, there will always be a risk that our children will either have it or be able to pass it on to their children, but we can detect it during pregnancy and take steps immediately should symptoms begin to present themselves. Once I got Bo in for treatment he got better almost right away. There've been a bunch of advancements over the last few years, and if you can catch it at a young age, it's not as much of a concern

LoveHarley: thats tough TD

xVerity: I'm glad you were able to get him help.

TeenDad2: Thanks! Me too

GlitterDoctor: So if your kids end up sick, your plan is to get them into treatment and hope for the best?
