Elijah
Nine heats. Nine weeks spentsweaty and delirious, always thirsty and constantly erect, suffering. Craving cock so badly that sometimes he wept for it. Bucking against pillows to try to relieve some of the lust, only to end up wanting more. Blackouts. The weak, clammy sensation of finally coming down from it all only to be disgusted with himself over his behavior.
For nine heats it had been the same. Elijah never thought it would get any better.
Then Silas had come into his life.
Four hours later and the heat had already started to wind down. Silas kissed him gingerly and worshiped his body as no man ever had before. The tender affection exchanged between them was sweet and soulful.
They made love.
When Silas knotted inside of him, Elijah didn’t feel guilt.
Silas wanted this as badly as he did. They were united in their desire, and Elijah knew it.
For the first time since he’d manifested omega traits, life was kind to Elijah. He’d found what he needed. They were going to be happy together, and the bundle of cells inside of him would only reinforce their love. Silas was never going to abandon him. Elijah would never need to be lonely again.
“Promise me you’ll never go,” Elijah whispered. Silas’ most recent knot was loosening, and it wouldn’t be long before it slipped from his body. They’d spent the afternoon in bed together, and five o’clock was fast approaching. Elijah knew it wouldn’t be long before he had to get back to Stonecrest.
“I promise. You’ll see. My actions will speak for themselves.” Silas eased out of Elijah’s body, and Elijah sighed contently. He lay upon Silas’ chest, letting their last coupling work its way through his system.
“What do you mean by that?” Elijah asked.
“You’ll see soon,” Silas promised. “I’ve got a lot of building blocks to move into place, but I’m confident you’ll understand with time. I can’t share yet, not until I have all the details laid out, but I will.”
Whatever it was Silas was planning, Elijah was eager to know, but he was too exhausted to follow up. The last several hours had been tiring, and he wanted nothing more than to curl up and sleep it off.
Sleep wasn’t in the cards.
Instead, Silas shooed him out of bed and herded him into the bathroom. They showered together, and before they were done, Silas took him from behind and knotted him a final time. Pressed against the cold shower tile, Elijah closed his eyes and cherished the moment.
Some day soon, this would be his every day. Sharing Silas’ bed and messing up his too-perfect sheets, sex in the shower, heated kisses before work…
“After we get out of here, we need to get back to Stonecrest. Are you going to be okay walking?”
“Well, my kneesarejust about jelly by now,” Elijah replied with a sly grin. He leaned back against Silas and kissed the corner of his mouth. “But emotionally, I can manage. I already feel the heat subsiding. You have potent seed.”
“It runs in the family apparently.” Silas nuzzled against the back of Elijah’s head and kissed him again. The knot was beginning to loosen. “When you get back, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t say anything about what happened today. Not for right now.”
“I won’t.” Would Silas be fired for what they’d done? If word leaked, the situation could get messy. It was no wonder why Silas wanted him to keep quiet. “All you have to do is spring me, right? Say that I accomplished whatever rehabilitation in necessary, and that I’ve got the resources available to start a new life? Get me out of there and I can come live here. I can come be with you.”
“Soon.” Silas pressed another chaste kiss to the back of Elijah’s head, then pulled his cock free from Elijah’s ass. The separation ached, and Elijah winced and whimpered. The heat had receded in record time, but his body was still needy.
They finished showering, and Silas exited the bathroom to dress while Elijah dried his hair more thoroughly. It wasn’t much longer before they were ready to go, and Silas led the way through the front door and out of the condo.
The walk was pleasant. Silas walked close, and although they didn’t hold hands, Elijah couldn’t stop himself from brushing up against him now and then. The affection they shared ran deep. How long would it be before it became something more?
Love.
Elijah bit down on his bottom lip and glanced at Silas out of the corner of his eye. That’s what happened in situations like these, wasn’t it? An alpha and an omega met, they bonded, and then they fell in love. If Silas was serious enough about Elijah to sleep with him during his heat, Elijah assumed he felt the same way.
Stonecrest appeared on the horizon before long, and Silas escorted Elijah through the gates and across the grounds. It felt wrong to have spent an afternoon in bed with Silas only to part ways again as counselor and patient, but there was no other alternative. Once Elijah was through the front doors and past security, Silas stopped.
“I hope you had an enriching experience while out with me today,” Silas said in parting. He’d tucked his hands behind his back, an uneasy look on his face. The emotion echoed inside of Elijah, and he hesitated before he replied.
“I had a really good time.” There was so much more that he wanted to say, but it wasn’t the place to say it. Until Elijah was released, no one could know about what they’d done. He didn’t want Silas to be fired. “I’ll see you on Monday.”
