CHAPTER ELEVEN
Rory
Shai finally stopsyapping. I’m taking him to one of our places—we have them all around the state. It’s a stupid thing to do, and Tiernan will probably be pissed if he finds out, but it’s too cold for us to do what I have planned outside, and this is our best option.
Like many of the homes we have, it’s secluded—this one on two acres of land, surrounded by open fields, except out back, where it’s just a short walk to a wooded area.
Shai frowns when we pull into the driveway of the two-story, farmhouse-style cabin.
“What the hell are we doing here?”
“Fucking. Did you already forget why you’re my pet?”
“Fuck off, Rory.”
“No. Get out of the car.” I reach into the back and grab my bag, then climb from the driver’s seat. Shai does the same, freezing air biting at us as we go up the porch steps. I type the code on the keypad to unlock the door. I’ve been here earlier today and got the heat going.
“Whose house is this?”
“You ask a lot of questions, pet.”
“Maybe that’s because you do a lot of dumb shit that doesn’t make sense.”
I chuckle. I like his fire. Like the recklessness in him that matches mine, always there, simmering beneath the surface.
“Are there rose petals and candles? While this is all very romantic of you, I didn’t think that’s what this would be about,” he says, making me roll my eyes. I definitely enjoy him more than I should.
“No. We’re here because this house is big, old, empty—other than the furniture—and you’re going to hunt me.”
His eyes widen comically, but then he cocks his head slightly, his forehead wrinkling as he studies me. “What do you mean I’m going to hunt you?”
“I want to try something. It got us both hard when you robbed me, so we’re doing a version of that here. With the lights off.”
“Is this some rape-fantasy thing? Because that’s not my style.”
“No. You’re not going to force me. I want your dick, and you want to give it to me. We’re playing a game, pet. We’re chasing a high, and I’m curious to see if this does anything for me.”
“Oh, just you, huh?”
“Well, you’re fucking me, so of course it’ll do something for you,” I tease, and he shakes his head but is clearly trying to bite back a smile. “Are you saying it’s not true?”
“I doubt you’ll be that good. I’m only here to pay off what I owe you.”
I lean close, mouth beside his ear as I grab the growing bulge beneath his jeans. “Liar, liar, pants on fire. You’re dying to fuck me. You would do it even if you didn’t owe me.” I massage his growing dick with my palm. “Admit it.”
“Why wouldn’t I want control over someone as powerful as you?” he asks, his breathing quicker, sharper than it had been moments ago.
“Who said you would be in control?” I ask, giving his dick one last squeeze before pulling back. I point to the table behind him. “Lube, condom, and a flashlight for you. Don’t do anything stupid because I really don’t want to kill you yet.”
“So I’m just supposed to find you and then fuck you?”
“Yes. But make it fun. I get annoyed when I’m bored.”
“There’s nothing boring about being fucked by me.”
“We’ll see.” I grin and take off my jacket. Shai tugs his hoodie over his head, showing me his tattooed arm again, the dark lines against his too pale skin. He might be hot, but a little sun wouldn’t hurt. “Upstairs there are five bedrooms and a loft. Down here, there’s an office, living room, dining room, kitchen, the normal shit. Find me and claim your prize.”
He nods, watching me curiously. “I assume you know this is dangerous. You can’t trust me.”
