I was afraid I was falling for him.And it was too late.
“You have to promise me something, Princess,” he said, rubbing his thumb over my wrist, brushing it over the bracelet.
“What is it?”
“Promise to tell me whatever you need and want.” He met my eyes and added, “I’d buy it for you.”
I smiled and joked, “How about a penguin?”
He hummed and pulled out his phone. I shook my head and admired the diamonds, but froze when I heard him speak. “Oh, so I would need to build a snow pen for it? I can do that—yeah, I have a guest room—what the…”
Taking his phone, I ended the call for him and stared at him. “I was kidding!”
“But I can get you a penguin—” he tried to grab his phone back.
“Just get me a penguin plushie. Not the real penguin.”
He reluctantly took his phone and muttered, “Party pooper.”
I jumped when I heard another alarm go off from my cell phone. Frowning, I said, “I’m sorry, I’ve got to go for a job interview.”
He raised his brow. “What kind of job?”
“It’s a server job for some type of event,” I said. “I will be free in the afternoon and—what are you doing?I’m still sore.”
Sean pulled me back on his lap, his hands wrapping around my waist as he said, “Don’t go.”
“What? I could earn a few hundred dollars?—”
He nuzzled my neck, his lips kissing the sensitive skin underneath the collar that I was still wearing. “Don’t go,” he repeated. “I’ll pay you.”
I chuckled, curling my fingers over his hair as he hummed. He loved it whenever I played with his hair. “Stop being clingy, Daddy.”
“No, I won’t,” he said, pouting when he lifted his head. “You don’t tell me what to do.”
Gosh, why is he being so fucking adorable? His silly act was working on me, and I wished I didn’t have to go.
“Work for me,” he said, his hands gliding over my waist and back, making me shiver. “I’ll pay you. As much as you want.”
“What are you saying? Stop joking.” I kissed his cheek. “I really have to go or I’ll be late.”
“I mean it, Princess,” he said, his tone turning serious. “Come with me to my firm. Be my assistant for a few months. I already have a contract drafted.”
He wasn’t serious.Was he?

I’M SORRY, PRINCESS
CHELSEA
Turns out, Sean was incredibly serious.
My eyes widened when I stepped out of the elevator, marveling at the hallway of his firm. I saw a few employees straighten up in their cubicles when Sean walked past them, their eyebrows raising when they saw where his hand was.
