“Fine! Let’s go Knoxxy baby!” She looks at me and winks and again, my heart is nearly exploding with love.

A group of about fifteen people are now standing on the edge watching, mostly groups of females. Possessiveness creeps in, but then I relax. These are my guys and they only have eyes for me. Look on women… get your fill!

“On your marks, get set…” I drop the shirt and they’re off.

I turn around as they breeze past me, sand flying in the air as their feet dig in.

“Oh, this is going to be close,” Callum says, walking up to me.

“It will be on Knox to win or lose it. Jax won’t let himself be beat,” Emmett says, walking up.

“He went for a long run this morning though,” Tony says, joining the group with Lizzy holding his hand.

I glance at Emmett and he looks at me, then Callum.

“Shall we head back to see who the victor will be? I need to know which team I need to bribe to let me partake in the benefits of the win.”

Placing my hand on my brow to block out the sun, I squint into the distance to see if I can tell who’s ahead, but they’re too far for me to tell and getting smaller by the second.

“We still have like a thirty-minute walk back,” Lizzy moans. “Damn it!”

“What?”

“We should have made them race, but carrying us on their backs!”

“So you wouldn’t have to walk back?”

“Yes.”

“There’s always tomorrow.”

Tony gets down on one knee in front of her.

“I’m already marrying you.”

“Yes. Please don’t have a second wedding. I don’t know if I can survive the first.” Emmett laughs.

“You tease!” Lizzy bats the air and Emmett just pumps his eyebrows.

“No. I was getting down so you can climb on.”

“My hero.” She climbs on and Tony stands up, shifting her weight to better position her. “My sexy man!”

Emmett lowers down on one knee.

“Oh my God! Are you proposing?” Lizzy squeaks.

“Fuck, Lizzy!”

Emmett cuts his eyes from me to her.

“Right. Sorry. I forgot. I just got excited.”

“We know,” Callum deadpans.

“I was going to let you climb on. I can’t let Tony show me up.”

“He could never,” I whisper in his ear, before climbing on.
