“They aren’t here. They’re at the club.”
“Which one?” He shimmies his shoulders playfully.
He just found out a few nights ago about Allure and has been giving me shit nearly non-stop through texts ever since. “Vixen.”
“Are we going there tonight?”
“Do you want to? I figured since we were going to be there tomorrow night, you may want to just relax here tonight. We can order in some sushi and hang out on the guy's roof.”
He pulls his face. “I don’t know. What do you think, babe?” He looks at Will.
“That sounds great to me. I had a long shift last night and didn’t get a ton of sleep, and I’m fairly certain tomorrow is going to be a long night.”
“Your first pride party,” Beckett says, making a heart with his hands and tilting his head to the side.
“So sweet.” I clasp my hands under my chin.
“Shut it. Only I can be a smart ass.” He shifts his bags in his hand. “Show me to my room, servant maid.”
“One, kiss my ass. Two, it’s the same room as last time. And three, I’m not showing you anywhere. I’ll be here waiting when you come back down.”
When the boys are walking into the kitchen ten minutes later, I hand them each an old-fashioned. I’d gotten pretty good at them since Emmett’s been working with me and I got all the right ingredients.
“Is this what I think it is?” Will asks.
“It is.”
“I’ve missed these since our last time here.”
“You mean a few weeks ago?” Beckett snarls.
“It’s been over a month. Don’t be dramatic.”
“All I’m saying is that I’ve seen you more in the last two months than I have in the last two years. I can only take small doses of you and this is really pushing it.”
I shove his shoulder and his drink sloshes, but he does some maneuvering to not spill any. He laughs, “I’m kidding. Of course.” He looks away and whispers, “Maybe.”
“I hope you don’t mind, but Lizzy is coming over. She said she has to see her beau FF.”
“Beau FF?”
“Beau friend forever?”
“She called me that? I love her.”
I turn my head to the side. “She was talking about Will.”
“What the fuck?”
Will steps forward, excuse me, “Make way for the Beau FF.”
“She’s dead to me.”
The doorbell rings and Beckett holds his arm out. “I’ll get this.”
A few minutes later, Beckett is walking back into the room with Lizzy on his back. “Let me koala youuuu!” she whines.
“No! You’re dead to me.”
