“Will’s mom is a flight attendant.”

“How do you know this?”

“Because. Like I told him. We have to stick together against the McKinleys.”

“Fine. I will talk to the guys about having a pride party.”

“Rainbows and Unicorns.”

“Fine. A Rainbows and Unicorns party.”

She claps her hands together and stuffs another milkshake covered fry in her mouth.

“So, what are your maybe dates?”

“April 20th, June 9th, June 22nd, or August 24th.”

“Four dates?”

“Yes.”

“What’s the holdup?”

“Well, you have April 20th, which is four twenty,” she snickers. “And four plus twenty equals twenty-four.” She bobbles her head back and forth, “And next year is 2024…”

“Solid choice.”

“Then there’s June 9th, which is obvious.”

“Six nine.”

Lizzy taps her chest with her fist, then throws a peace sign. “Special tribute to my boo.”

I blow her a kiss.

“Then Tony wants June 22nd. Boring. Nothing special at all. And then August 24th. It’s just later in the year and it’s cool to say eight twenty-four twenty-four.”

“So really it’s between April 20th and June 9th.”

“Yes.”

“Where do you want to get married? Do those venues have those dates available?”

She scrunches her nose. “I don’t know where I want to get married.” She runs her fingers through her hair and groans in frustration.

“What about Tony?”

“He doesn’t care.”

“Ok. Let’s start here… do you want it in the States or not?”

She pulls her lips.

“Ok. How about this… how many people do you want at the wedding? Do you want it big or small?”

She looks out the window.

“Lizzy. You’ve been planning this day since you were little.”
